Product Spotlight: Metro Line Train Set

One of my favorite products from our Holiday 2016 Gift Collection is definitely the Metro Line Train Set. Not only is it beautiful, it’s also super functional. And, that’s always a win-win when it comes to design for kids. Here are some of the top reasons I’m completely enamored with this set.

First, it features an ultra-cool retro design. It’s kind of retro-future…like a train set Elroy Jetson would play with. Not only that, the colors are crazy good. It’s not your typical primary colors. The palette is sophisticated but still playful, and I love the mixing of patterns on the buildings. This is one train set I wouldn’t mind having hang out on my coffee table…cause let’s face it, isn’t that where all the toys end up?

Next, it’s made using ultra durable wood construction, pinewood and beechwood to be exact. And all the paints are nontoxic. Not only that, I’m obsessed with all the innovative details that were built into this design. First, the trains, tracks and buildings are all compatible with other wood train sets on the market. That means if your little one already have some trains, this set can be added on.

And, like all the toys at Nod, this train set runs on pure imagination. With the city set and tracks, there are endless possibilities to creating any metropolitan rail system your future city planner can dream up.
