Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still Sharp!! Granted I have only had these for a year now but they still cut like butter. I wish you could put them in the dishwasher, however, I think the hand washing helps keep them in pristine condition. I love them so much I bought 2 sets for my parents for Christmas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good blade - but watch out for the wooden handle The steel in the blade is of the first rank. One might therefore ask the pertinent question, so what else matters.....There is a cosmetic issue with the handles, as the type of wood used quickly loses its smoothness when washed, and becomes somewhat rough to the feel. The wood needs to be oiled frequently, which does try the patience. If that is not an issue for a purchaser, then fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I had the same experience as the last reviewer. These knives were beautiful until they got wet. We knew to hand wash them and we refrained from getting too much soap on the wooden handle. Once they got wet, the handle went from smooth to grainy. So far, I've been underwhelmed with the quality of the items I've purchased from Crate and Barrel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good from far, far from good Nice design and looks great out of the box, but does not hold up well. After the first hand-wash the wood took on a grainy and abrasive texture (see pictures). Doesn't feel like they finished the wood at all. The steel is not the highest quality and scratches/discolors easily. I'm struggling to get even simple water spots out. That said, the blade has a fine edge and cuts very well, but for this price I expected more.

Return/Exchange Policy

We will accept returns and exchanges of non-furniture items if:

  • Non-furniture items are returned within 90 days of customer receipt.
  • A valid proof of purchase is provided (see below).
  • Non-furniture items are returned in good condition—unused and unwashed.

If you discover an item has a manufacturer’s defect or was damaged during transit, we will accept the item for return or exchange with proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase, the item can be exchanged only for the same item. A valid photo ID is required.

We are unable to accept any items for return or exchange without proof of purchase. Items purchased as final sale cannot be returned, exchanged or repaired.

Items must be returned to the store brand where the purchase originated or by mail (if the item was ordered online or by phone and received by mail). Purchases made outside the U.S. may only be returned to the purchase location.
