Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful plates with flaws Like some other reviewers said, the square plates do not sit evenly. I really wish C&B enforces stricter quality standards so that pieces with glazing issues, air pockets, etc. are not sold at the stores. Also I wish C&B works with a vendor that can produce products with a basic quality such as the leveled bottom, even if it results in a little bit higher price. This product line has everything else going - the design, color, etc., just every pieces need to meet the standards. What is the point in promising high then letting your customers down with inconsistent quality?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes everything taste better! I bought the espresso and regular & large coffee cups to complement our old Aspen dinnerware, and these are now my favorite cups for coffee, cappucinos, and lattes any time of day. Simple and affordable elegance in white.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous luminosity Lovely translucent dishes just as bone china should be! So far they have proven to be durable and fit well into our cabinets and dishwasher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality; flaws on nearly all plates. I really like the design of this dinnerware, but the quality is extremely poor and the quality control apparently non-existent. The plates have the kind of flaws you'd see on remaindered products that come with deep discounts. They have small pits from air pockets, some have black particulates that got caught in the glaze and protrude like little blackheads. Perhaps the most unforgivable flaw is the glazing error I found on the few of them, in which the porcelain is bunched up along a small length of the edge, and doesn't even cover the entire rim. In other words, rough and uncoated areas of the rim. Finally, as noted by some others, the plates also tend to be a bit wobbly. A big disappointment all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bennet Low Bowl I recently replaced a pile of our mismatched plates with a dozen of these bowls. They're the perfect size and shape for the way I cook and serve food for my family -- not a bowl but not exactly a plate either -- we eat healthy, one-dish style meals focused on lots of vegetables and grains, with a small amount of protein on top.  I'm very happy with them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but be careful Have the square plates, salad plates and small and large platters.  The platters are awesome and really compliment the plates while serving.  1 problem we discovered with the plates, as we use them everyday, is that you need to be careful when cutting food and where it is on your plate.  Put pressure anywhere off the center of the plate even slightly toward the edge of the plate while cutting a steak for example and the plate collapses to the side which results in a mess, embarrassment for guests.  This took us a while to get used to.  Wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dinnerware, so elegant! I recently upgraded my dinnerware to a full set of Bennett - three sizes of plates, both bowls, even the sugar bowl for a mini size bowl. It is lovely and elegant. I love the translucency of the bone china, and so far it's been extremely durable (it's even survived my dogs who went after plates I accidentally left on the counter!). The lines are clean and go with everything, so I am using it with a variety of serving dishes. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bennett dinnerware We bought the complete set - including serving bowls, large platter, sugar, creamer. They are beautiful, we use for everyday. We do love the set and do not regret the purchase. Each dinner plate, saucer, bread & butter plate do not sit completely flat and when placed in the cupboard some look thicker than others. When in use (for any of the above peices) we use placemats and that corrects the unevenness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Love These Dishes I spent a couple years trying to find the right dishes that would be light weight, durable and beautiful. These dishes are above and beyond all my wishes. Our family of four use them every day. When friends and kids join us for dinner these are the dishes we use (I have a set of 12). I waited several months before sending my review to see how these dishes would hold up to the daily grind which includes being handled with a certain lack of concern by the 11 and 13 year old. They are still as beautiful as the day they arrived. The white color is warm and the shape has a slightly organic look which adds to the beauty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uneven plates We really wanted a square & white bone china set for our everyday dishes, so we registered for all of the Bennett pieces for our wedding. This set really is beautiful - it's light weight, felt sturdy and the color is a brilliant white. These match our ideal dinner set in every way, so when the plates arrived, I was ready and eager to love them. I was so disappointed when I realized that none of the plates sit flat on the table! The bottoms are uneven so every plate wobbles on the table, making clingy noises when silverware is used. The only remedy would be to use a nice thick placemat for every meal.I'm so sad that I have to return these :( Will likely switch to the Marin set instead. I would still love to get the Bennett set in the future if they fix the plate problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but a tad bit thin I got these as part of my wedding registry. I love the coupe bowls - they are so modern and beautiful - but my concern is that the plates (e.g. dinner plates, salad plates, etc) are ever so slightly too flat and thin.. This may not be an issue for everyone but it was enough of a distraction for us. I will likely return the set and get something else instead - it's too bad, because the set really is lovely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from elegant and lovely I went to the C&B store to purchase a few bowls in another pattern, but I fell in love with these plates and ended up buying 8 of them. The bone china is so elegant - it's a very soft, warm white (vs. the cooler white of the porcelain) and the coupe shape is lovely. I can't believe they are also microwave safe - what a deal! I just bought them tonight and haven't used them yet, so I can't comment on their durability. I am already looking forward to using my new plates.
