Beautiful, soft light
Beautiful pendant, pretty easy to install, gives off a soft diffused light. I looked at tons of these types of lights online before seeing one in person at C&B, and the price is very reasonable. It is off-white, which I wanted, but if you are looking for stark or vivid white, this isn't the one.

Great value, exceptional service
We purchased this lamp and the frame of the shade arrived damaged. Customer service was excellent in dealing with our return and shipping us another one. The new lamp arrived within 3 days after reporting the problem (and we live on the Big Island of Hawaii). We were very impressed with the efficiency and rapid response time. We are also happy with the fixture. We had it installed professionally but It is a little tricky to arrange the electrical wire along the suspension cable in a shape that looks appealing and to get the shade with the seam where you want it. All in all, great price for great design.

Great lamp
I purchased the white large finley pendant lamp for above my dining room table and it looks great. Its a nice color and not bleach white, it has some nice cream fibers throughout.

Just What We Were Looking For
Very please with this fixture. Were looking for this style for some time and now wer found it. I would suggest the availability of a white top plate also. Having a third light bulb to give more light would be nice too.

Perfect lamp
My table look great with this pendant lamp. I thought it would not light enough, but it is perfect.
Also the size is perfect for my crate and barrel table.

Lighting Perfection!
Exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't find anything like it at other lighting stores. The texture of the shade is beautiful and it provides great lighting! I love it!

Looks good, but function/install low
I love the look of this light, but am less pleased with the function and install. As other reviewers have stated, the install is not easy. The ceiling plate actually holds the fixture up (not some unseen bracket) and therefore it is difficult to get the exposed mount flush with the ceiling. There is a gap. A bigger issue is the amount of light given is low. I have this over a kitchen eating area and the diffuser works too well. The light says use 60 watt bulbs max and with only 2 bulbs, it's just too dark. I used 75 watt to make it acceptable, but wish I could make it brighter still.

WOW!!!!!
I purchased the large - and its awesome, the light that illuminates from the drum is perfect I would suggest getting a dimmer if you dont already have one. It definetly says a statement I so pleased....

Wife loves the light
Not the easiest light I have ever installed but not the hardest either.Having different colored wires would make the install much less difficult but probally would ruin the esthetics.

"Small" pendant Lamp?
There is nothing "Small" about this lamp. It is the size of a spaceship. I judged my purchase from the photos, which customer service admitted are inaccurate. I also was swayed by the term that described the product : "Small". It is gigantic. Check your dimensions, the photos and descriptions are not correct and I had to pay shipping to return the item.

Beautiful pendant lamp
Great lamp and great price. The quality is very good, despite some reviewer comments saying otherwise. Also, easy to install (per my husband, not a professional) and the plate sits flush to the wall. Not sure why others had difficulty. It looks absolutely stunning over my dining table!

Difficult to install
The Finley pendant looks nice, but the electrician said it was tough to install and of cheap quality. His remarks were not a surprise to me since I had read the reviews listed here. I am satisfied considering the price, but if you have to install it yourself or can afford a better model, it would be a better investment.

Love the lamp, hate the ceiliing plate
This lamp is just what I was looking for and the price was right. And I will say that I would buy it all over again, however, as many reviews have indicated, the plate against the ceiling does not sit flush. I really hope the manufacturer reads these reviews and makes a change!

I love this lamp!
This lamp is simple but stylish. I like it better than other, more expensive lamps I looked at. I had a professional electrician install it for me, and there were no problems. the base is flush with the ceiling, and it hangs evenly. Make sure you hang it form the center cord only; leave enough slack with the electrical cord so it hangs evenly.
I have two 60 watt daylight balance bulbs in the lamp, and it gives off a beautiful light in the dining room.

great value, excellent customer service
We bought this for our dining area. It totally changed the look of the room. We liked it so well we bought two more for the entryway, leading into the dining room. This light is really streamlined and you can't beat the value. As for installation, my husband did the first one in about 20 minutes. The second took a little longer because of the ceiling height. He said he found these no more difficult than any other light he's installed.
We did have a problem with one light being damaged (which we didn't notice until after we'd put it up). Customer service fixed the problem in just over 24 hours. They were very efficient and apologetic.

Nice style...
I loved the style/looks of the Finley Pendant Lamp for use over my dining room table however the install was very difficult and once we finally got it up the base would not lay flush to the ceiling. I had to return the Finley for this reason.

Kind of a pain to install
Learn from our mistakes: figure out how long you want the cables to be and where you want the seam to point before you get up on a ladder. The silver wire has a screw on it that can only be dragged easily in one direction (down). If you need to make the lamp hang lower (in other words, you need more wire on the outside of the faceplate), then you have to painstakingly turn the screw by hand, which takes forever. It's like, for every 50 turns, you go about half an inch. So figure out your length before touching that screw or pulling on that wire!

Pendant Good but Customer Service Better!
After having an electrician come and install this fixture, I was unwrapping it only to discover that the shade was stained (water stain) and discolored and even slightly warped. I'd not noticed it because it was hidden by the plastic covering which I hadn't wanted to take off until the installation was complete to avoid fingerprints/plaster dust, etc. Ironic.
Reached customer service immediately and they were wonderful. Within 15 minutes we'd come up with a plan for replacement and they were very speedy, efficient and pleasant. I was very grateful. It made a rotten discovery bearable and I was appreciative of the folks I spoke with who sounded genuinely interested in solving this problem.
One product recommendation: make sure that you have the ceiling plate installed in the right direction because how the cables come down into the fixture will determine where the seam on the shade will show up. In our case I realized that the seam (which you'll notice when the light is lit) is facing too much of our open area and when we re-install, I'll want to spin where the cords are. (This will make more sense when you go to install!)

Great Look, Install more difficult than should be
I love the look of this fixture. The only issue with look is the cap does not fit flush with ceiling - it really needs more than 2 screws to hold the cap piece even. Adding a 2nd bracket to form an X would probably solve the problem. I would suggest adding written instructions. It took awhile to realize that the exposed wire was for purely to hold the fixture and that it didn't need to be connected to anything since not pictured in the illustration. Also, I would suggest having some sort of demarcation on covering of the hote wire and neutral wire. With 3' of extra wire for a 9' ceiling we had to cut away the outer wire casing that enclosed all 3 wires and 'peel it' off to insure we knew which wires were which when cutting the excess. The ground wire was easily distinguishable but the neutral and hot wires identical.
