Great Lamps
Clean, contemporary look. When you first turn on the lamp, it is not very bright, but the light gets brighter after the lamp has been on for a while. I would definitely recommend this.

great accent lamp
the lamp is a little shorter than how it appears in the picture. doesn't give off a lot of light, but it's a great accent lamp!! it glows almost amber when turned on

Some Considerations About This Light
The lamp arrived as represented and shipping was fine (no damage), even to Honolulu.
The two things I wanted to share with the community relate to the height of the lamp and the light given off. The entire lamp is only 5 ft tall. I read that before buying it but failed to appreciate that it would look so...well, short. You can look into the top of the shade if you are standing next to the light, which seems odd. Second thing is the amount of light given off. Even with a 100-watt bulb, the shade is so thick that it restricts the light to an uplight. The result is more of a mood light than a regular lamp. Bottom line, I would strongly suggest that, if you are able to get to a Crate and Barrel store before buying this, do so to make sure you are comfortable with both the height and the light given off. For something in a similar style that gives off more light (and is taller), consider the Simon floor lamp. I have owned this lamp for 3 years and have been very pleased with the look and quality.

Perfect Floor Lamp
We had been looking for a floor lamp to go next to our couch for some time and when I saw this one in the catalog I knew it would be perfect. It's a great size for a small space and gives off good light. The price was very reasonable too.

Its pretty
I ordered it, and it never delivered. C & B sent another one and the middle of two of the legs were bent, so it iooks sturdy, but evidently fragile. I doubt I would order something like this again online.

Well Made
These are very good looking and well constructed. The shade is a nice heavy linen/cotton off-off-white color. We put fairly low watt (15W HE) bulbs in for low mood lighting, which is great. I think if you max them out at 100W you can get it pretty bright. We plugged one of ours into a device that puts it on a remote control so it is super easy to turn off/on. The other one that is not on the remote I do worry that stepping on it may eventually break the switch, and would like to get it on the remote also. The shipping containers were huge for these, like the price of shipping which I found absurd. I didn't need them FedEx'd, I'm patient.

Beautiful lights
I just love the look of these lights! What a brilliant solution to floor lamps that lean! The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they are a little shorter than they look in the catalog photo. However, I was quite aware of the height because the dimensions are given. Also, I had two 60 watt equivalent CFLs in them and they are a little dim. However, I put some 100's in today so we'll see how much brighter they are after it gets dark tonight.
Love that they came quickly and were very well packed! I will buy again from Crate and Barrel.

I would buy these lamps again
I bought two and couldn't be happier. Needing to light dark corners, these are perfect for decor lighting-very subtle light. I put them on timers, so I wouldn't have to dig to find the floor switches. Really attractive lamps.

Aerin Floor Lamp Antique Bronze
Fantastic lamp - Highly recommend. Gives off nice ambience to a dark room. I was looking forever for something modern and with smooth lines to handle a dark family room in cold climate. Brings warmth to the room and looks up to the minute. There has never been a Crate and Barrel purchase that has been disappointing. I know I will get many compliments on this one ! Thank you CB

great item
Great lamp [s] ! Bought two...look great...sturdy...well made...disagree with review about not giving enough light...can take up to a 100w bulb...thats a lot of light...I use a 65w as it shows off texture in shade...casts a square light upward.
Tip...packaging is also excellent...don't unpack if in a hurry.I wish everything I bought was as good as this product.

great value
this lamp is very affordable. it is not very bright, but adds a nice soft glow to the room. it is heavily constructed and actually looks like it is worth much more then $139!

Pretty but not enough
Decor-wise definitely beautiful. As a source of lighting - definitely not good. It helps bring light to a dim room but doesn't light up even half of the room. I have a very dark room and needed more lighting. I already had a lamp on one corner, and hoped this would add as additional lighting, I was wrong.

Technical glitch w/the switch
I agree w/the other reviewer. It looks great and functions well, but the switch is 22 inches away from the base, which is beyond inconvenient if the cord is hidden behind a sofa when you want to enter a dark room and automatically turn it on.

Great product in need of a minor tweak
First off, this is a great looking lamp that delivers an adequate amount of light to my living room. I like it enough that I bought two of them.
The reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of the way the lamp is switched. Rather than having a switch on the lamp base, the switch is inline with the cord. You may find this inconvenient if you intend to run the cord behind furniture. I also found the cord to be a bit short and had to employ extension cords for both of the lamps I bought.
Still, all things considered, this is a good floor lamp for the price.

I bought this floor lamp to replace an existing halogen floor lamp, wish I would of changed it out sooner, makes the room more classy.
