Couldn't be happier!
We bought two of the sconces for our bedroom and are more than pleased. After searching and reading customer reviews, I decided to go to the store to see these for myself. They are very well made, very sturdy, and the switch location is ideal. The dimmable feature is great - an added bonus! My husband, a very handy guy, had no problem installing them. The cords are extra long and the cord cover length is fine for us (nightstand in front of). Thank you Crate and Barrel!

Great Product, Easy Assembly
I purchased 3 of these lamps, and they were easy to assembly. We did not hardwire them, instead we used the plug option. I did keep all of the conversion parts in case I change my mind.
The first lamp took maybe 30 minutes, mostly because I was being extremely careful based on one of the reviews. The remaining 2 lamps were 10 - 15 minute installations.
The lamps look great and we have gotten complements on them. I use 2 for task lighting at a desk and one for the bedside.

Great Value for the Price
We purchased two of these lamps for our master bedroom. They were not super easy to install, but we managed to get it done in about an hour. Once we figured it out, we realized we could adjust the base using the three screws to make sure it is straight. They are pretty straight. The bronze scratches easily - it came with a few tiny scratches - but looks high quality and is sturdy. My only current complaint is that the cord cover does not lie flat against the wall - but we have nightstands in front that fix that problem. Overall they look great and have two light levels.

Love these lamps
We loved the appearance of the lamps online but were a bit nervous about the installation having read the first review.
Happily, we did not find them any harder to install than other lamps we have purchased. We did use a drill, but that seems to be standard procedure for hanging anything on the walls in our house. It took about 15 minutes per lamp.
They are the good quality we expect from Crate and Barrel. They look even better on the wall than they did online. The knobs/switches are particularly nice. We replaced 2 floor lamps with these and are delighted with the extra space it has freed up.

DIY Nightmare
If it were not for the impossible puzzle of packaging (a box, within a box, within a box, styrofoam, air pillows, plastic bags) I would be sending this back right way. Maybe I will just drop them off at one of the stores as is.
I can't get these things mounted straight on my walls. The directions are terrible. First of all, you need alot more than a phillps head screwdriver and pliers. You need a flat head just to do the second step, which is get the the base off of the mounting plate. You also need a drill and a protractor. Next, the mounting plate does not have holes in the correct place. If you mount the mounting plate with the screwholes level, and then try to screw the base on you will find that the base is cock-eyed. Since I do not own a protractor, I cannot seem to figure out the correct degree that the mounting plate needs to be angled so that the base can come out straight. So now, my wall is all scratched up, has holes that need to be patched and I have no lights by which to read. This was not what I expected from C&B.
