A handsome, sculptural base. Substantial heft -- this is a well-made piece with just the right amount of sheen to highlight the variations in the brass tones. I bought this to go on the black 58" Spotlight desk after seeing them together in a photo. Very cool lamp. A splurge for me, but worth it for the quality and artistic presence.

Lamp as Sculpture
The Cleo Lamp is a wonderful example of functional art. The sculptural lines of this lamp are reminiscent of mid century modern sculpture, yet works well with an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture. The solid brass base is well made and any small flaws in the matte finish add to the handmade feeling of the lamp. As an artist I take visual pleasure each time I look at it in my dining room. I like it so much I bought a second one for my living room when I couldn't find another lamp I liked as well. It is definitely unique and a good value. I know I will have these lamps for a very long time.

Stunning With Flaws
This is a modern beauty which looked great in our living room next to our couch. The shade gives a warm glow and the base is solid. My only complaint is that when you view the base up close, there are various imperfections in the coating which cannot be buffed out. One of the felt feet didn't cover and the base of the lamp scratched the heck out of our side table. We ultimately returned the lamp as for the price, we were expecting more.

Lovely MCM Style Lamp
This lamp has a great color, is very heavy, and has a great midcentury modern shape. I would take issue with the description of "soft matte sheen." The finish is shiny, and almost has a plastic look. The shade is a great color, and I really like the finial. Looks great in our 50s ranch house.

Great product, but damaged in shipping
I bought 2 of these lamps & they're great -- heavyweight, chic, stylish. My only complaint is that they are difficult to ship undamaged. These were shipped separately & packed/protected/wrapped to within an inch of their lives, & yet they both suffered the same fate: the socket where you screw the bulb in was bent. On one, i was able to straighten it, but the other I had to bring to a repair shop b/c it broke when I tried to straighten it. It would have been way too much trouble to re-pack it & ship it back, and the lamps themselves are great.

I love love love this lamp which goes nicely on my new Duval media console.

Cleo Lamp
This is a gorgeous lamp -- it feels and looks very substantial and the quality is superior. It's an elegant piece that would definitely look good with contemporary /mid-century decor, yet also blends well with the more classic/ traditional style in my house and provides a unique focal point in the room. The color is a soft goldish/brass color. Love it.
