Endlessly useful.
The glass and lid combination has countless uses, many of which have already been named by other reviewers. Here's one more: I like to have a glass of water handy at night, so I keep one of these on my bedside table. The lid keeps dust out while it's sitting there overnight, and the glass doesn't give the water a chemical flavor like a plastic cup or water bottle would. It's true that the rims of the glasses do chip somewhat easily, but then, they are also easy and cheap to replace.

Small Working Glasses
We had been using these glasses daily for many years. Eventually a couple of them broke (carelessness, not defect) and we needed to replace them. Excellent price, excellent service!

They Fit!!!!!!!
I bought working glasses from another source because of shipping prices and I was apprehensive about the ability of the lids to fit my other source glasses and they do...very tightly. I am pleased.

Don't stack or it chips!
Nice for storing food in. Harder to drink out of cause of the lip around the edge. These jars chip easily. If you stack them, then an instant chip appears. I use for storing cut fruit and veggies and premade shakes.

Escellent all-purpose glasses
We have 12 of each size. They are very durable and wonderfully dishwasher safe. Be sure to get some covers. I use them to store leftovers in the frig and for my personalized spice/herb concoctions.

Don't know how I have never seen thease before. As many others have said, they are like old french jelly jars. I'm trying not to use much plastic and the glasses are perfect for everything from smoothies to storing extra servings of whatever! Tight lids for shaking contents and easy clean. Love them!

Good multi-use product
I purchased a set of these to use as everyday water-glasses -- liked that they could also serve as microwave dishes for reheating single servings for our small household. I got the set that came with lids so that they would work for refrigerator storage. All these intended uses have worked well. I am very happy that I made this purchase.

great every day glasses
I have the tall and short and a few lids. These are nice sturdy glasses. And I love the ability to use the lids--these would be great if you have kids constantly leaving half their milk/juice. Just save it for next time!
I was surprised when my boyfriend told me that he had these glasses in his childhood home. They've been around for a while. A classic. And I feel pretty confident that I'll be able to find them easily in order to replace them.

Can't say enough about these GREAT glasses!
Have had these for years and absolutely love them. Nothing better for drinking a ton of iced tea or coffee than the large sized glass; nothing better for sipping fresh juice than the smaller one. And I LOVE that you can just pop a top on anything left in your glass and stow it in the fridge for later. You can totally trust the lid. Last week I took a full tall glass with lid into the car, planning to drink my iced coffee on the road. Alas, it wouldn't fit in my (small) cup holder, so I kind of propped it in the holder where it sat at a 45 degree angle for the whole trip. Actually, only for the 1st half of the trip, until I went too fast around a corner, when the whole thing flew out of the holder and rolled on its side all the way across the floor to rest horizontally against the passenger door for the rest of the trip. When I finally arrived, no spills anywhere, not a drop. Amazing. No breakage, either: these things are called "working" for a reason! And I'm with the other reviewer who uses the smaller sized one as an odor-proof jar in the fridge for chopped onions -- I do, too. Also as a shaker jar to mix slurry (flour and water) for gravy or prepare eggs for scrambling. Lids are interchangeable on both sizes of glasses. Can't do without these -- WONDERFUL!

Better Than Ever
I have had these glasses for years. I finally had to buy a few more because we broke one too many. First, I was pleased I could still find them. And second, they are more heavy duty than the set I purchased 10+ years ago. Thanks Crate & Barrel.

Great Glass Jars
Love these jars. great for storage and easy to clean. like the size for left overs. Great to use for chopped onion no smelling up the refrigerator with the air tight lids.

Withstand bad aim ;-)
I have had these glasses for more than a decade. I am so glad to find them again, as they have outlasted several other sets all of which have displayed a tendency to break when I put them down not quite on the edge of the table. They have nice wide bases, so they don't get knocked over easily, either. Even better, these glasses have lasted years of dishwashing and still look new.
Overall, they are a really great value, and look good, too.

Great purchase!
Love these glasses! I use them for so much more than just drinks. They are a great size. Store things from popcorn kernels to unused refrigerated items with the lids that are sold separately. Would highly recommend these glasses. Save money and buy a dozen at a time. Well worh it!

I love these glasses!!!
I bought my first set of these glasses 24 years ago when I first got married. I still have three of the originals! I bought the larger ones later and just replenished the smaller ones. The great thing is that the glasses may break, but the lids never do! These are great everyday glasses, but work so well for storage. You can't go wrong with working glasses!

The Best Glassware
I have both sizes of these glasses for sometime now and love them! I like the wide base and the thickness of the glass; very durable. I recently purchased the 21oz glasses for a coworker's Christmas gift as she raved over the one I brought to work. I think she will be pleasantly surprised! You can't go wrong with the Working Glass!
