22-piece Dune Flatware
We bought this flatware set for everyday after our original flatware began to disappear after 13 years of marriage. We like the weight and shape of this set. It has gone through the dishwasher well - although I can tell that we will need to polish it occasionally to maintain the brushed look. I would prefer NOT to have to polish it, but...this is a good everyday set for our large family with MANY young kids.

Great flatware set!
I love that the flatware feels substantial but is comfortable to hold. I also love the brush metal look. My only qualm would be that the care instructions suggest you either hand wash and dry the flatware or take it out of the dishwasher before the dry cycle and hand dry, otherwise the flatware may discolor.

Mixed Feelings
I have very mixed feelings about this product.
I love the look and feel, the heft and solidity. But the spoons are tarnishing even though I rinse them immediately after use. And the knives need to be wiped completely clean with a dishcloth (paper towel won't do it) before I can put them in the dishwasher. I've had far less expensive sets of stainless that never had these problems.
I've decided to keep using it even if I do have to pre-wash by hand, but I'd sure like the set better if it were less 'sticky'.

table shinery
Love the modern design and the feel of this flatware. It has gone thru the dw for 2 months with no staining or spotting. It is hefty which I like; goes great with larger dinnerware.

excellent!
We received 2 of these Dune flatware sets off our registry and they are amazing! They are heavy, smooth, look great, and just have a different feel than any other flatware I've used. Mine didn't come flawed as one of the previous posters had mentioned. I haven't experienced any staining as others have mentioned also. I love this flatware!

My all time favorite flatware
For durability and comfort in the hand this flatware is the tops. I've had my set for years and years and it's as nice today as when I bought it. I'm thinking about buying a set for a friend.

so-so
i love the design and the feel of this flatware, but they do not hold up well to normal use. my set is 3 years old and numerous pieces are stained. i often hand wash or use the dish washer. the description says it is dishwasher safe so i'm not sure why my flatware is getting stained. very disappointed.

Surprised
I had seen this flatware at a Crate and Barrel store and was very impressed with the quality and price. I decided to order 2 sets anticipating ordering 2 more sets. Unfortunately, some of the pieces I received were poorly finished (rough edges) or pitted. It doesn't seem that this is the norm based on other reviews. Perhaps I received some rejects. For now, I have decided to continue using my 25 year old Dansk flatware which still is not pitted. Perhaps at a later date I'll try again and buy it in the store rather than ordering online. I still like the looks and weight.

Worth waiting for
I had been watching this flatware for years and finally decided to take the plunge and I have not been disappointed. The lines are curvy, clean and stylish without being overdone. Each piece is nicely weighted and smoothly polished. They have great ergonomic styling and are held nicely in the hand. I really can't say how happy I am with these. I bought two sets and I am thrilled. Highly recommend them for anyone, for everyday or for special occasion.

High quality, very comfortable
We registered for this flatware set sight unseen and are extremely happy with it. We had about half of a similar set and so we only purchased one of these to round it out. These pieces are much higher quality and always our first choice. I'm looking forward to when the rest of the original imitation set gets lost so that we can replace it with another one of these.

Great flatware
I bought another set of the Dune flatware to complement the set I bought 10 years ago, which has held up over all these years (and we roughhouse with our flatware!) I really like the heft of these pieces; each one feels good in your hand. They also look wonderful with all different kinds of dishes. I really recommend this purchase, especially for a wedding gift or just a special treat for yourself.

Timeless flatware
I first bought this flatware ten years ago or so... I just ordered an additional set to add to my existing. Cannot tell the difference between the older and new sets. Honestly, wears beautifully. Now to the style.... Well, how many things can you purchase ten years later and still think looks stylish? Exactly. Timeless. Worth the money in quality. Feels nice and weighty. Very expensive looking. You will not be disapointed.
Only comment to note is that the spoons are LARGE. FYI.

Love Dune
I too, would love to see this product as an open stock item. I have had 2 spoons find their way to the garbage disposal and would love to replace them. Please consider this! It is a great pattern and looks nice with just about everything.

Great stuff, but don't lose one!
I love this flatware as I've had it for 4 years. But when registering for my wedding we went with something else because Dune is not open stock. I brought a fork to work, lost it, and been without it ever since.
Crate and Barrel, Please make this open stock!

fantastic
Received this set as a wedding present 8 years ago. Just love it. It has great great weight and balance in your hand. It fits into contemporary or traditional decor. As others stated, it always receives comments from the guests. My flatware has been dishwashed uncountable times over the years and has stood up well. There are some scratches, but that is to be expected. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Strong and Stylish
I had this on my wish list for over a year before I finally made my purchase. I can't believe I waited that long because I absolutely love this flatware set. It is super strong and won't become deformed as other sets do. I've even had guests threaten to steal it when they leave.

We recently received this flatware off our registry, and we love it! It has a nice weight, stacks neatly, and has enough curve to be interesting but still functional. Unique, attractive and durable.

You do get what you pay for
I do like this set but it is not a set I would count on as a lifelong flatware. I like that they are so weighty and I love the look. However they just do not stand up to the everyday rigors that flatware is supposed to handle. They are wearing down a lot after only about 4 years. I am already looking for another set to replace them.

Great every day set
We use this for our every day set and have been using it for more than 5 years. It comes out of the dishwasher looking great. We also have the matching serving set, which is great for the holidays. When we got married, we looked at fancier flatware sets, and there were none we liked more than this set we already had.
The weight of the pieces feels comfortable when held. The finish is contemporary, it was just what we were looking for.

Great all around flatware
I've been using this set for over 3.5 years now, and I still love it. All the pieces look great, fit well in the hand, and are solidly built. Don't be afraid to scoop hard ice cream with the spoons, or abuse the forks. They won't bend. Unless you really want to be able to cut a tough steak easily with your knives, these will do just fine. A great set of flatware.
