BIG Mistake!!!
I recomend that you choose any other flatware set. I thought I had found the perfect set with the Cirrus Flatware with price and a full setting for 8 but that is were my satisfaction sadly ended! I quickly noticed that the flatware got rust spots in the dishwasher with regular dishwasher detergent with in the first month. So I bought polish and a white glove for polishing and I started washing them by hand (per Crate and Barrel's suggestion/solution to my problem). No matter how much I polish the spots remain and the flatware look terrible! They are about to get tossed in the trash... what a waste of money and time!

Cirrus all the way
I too purchased this eight years ago because of the value (complete set and serving ware) and really liked the design and heft of the pieces. Felt and looked like more expensive flatware. Loved it so much I bought a second, back up set. Have gotten compliments on it from guests.

good buy
This set is very affordable. I think the design is classic and simple and they are comfortable to handle. I will be using the tip to avoid citrus based detergent. The first time I washed them, a few pieces had some cloudy residue on them, I don't know if it's from the detergent or my water. I like that it came with plenty of pieces, and again I like the price!

Good Stuff
Purchased the Cirrus Flatware for Christmas and it has worked great. As a matter of fact if they go on sale again will purchase another set, that how much we like them.

Avoid citrus-based detergents to eliminate rust!
I've had two sets of this silverware for over 4 years now and am absolutely thrilled. Occasionally a piece or two needs polishing (usually if I let it sit around in the sink with food on it before finally getting it into the dishwasher: b-a-d...). The trick, as salespeople have told me, is DON'T use a lemon-based dish detergent!! Whether used in the sink or in the dishwasher, citrus-based cleaners contain citric acid which can etch invisibly fine holes in the outer surface that then permit rust. No citrus, no rust!
The silverware is just lovely -- quite heavy, European-style (i.e. larger than typical in the U.S.), simple, and elegant. Nicely balanced, too -- feels graceful and comfortable in the hand. I have some much older silverware for everyday so usually reserve this for when we have guests, which is quite frequently. Both sets still look shiny and clean after all this time despite always going through the dishwasher. Am about to buy a third set!
NOTE: pieces are also sold individually!!! (scroll down on the ordering page to see additional options). The set comes with extra teaspoons, but I'm probably going to order extra salad forks and place spoons (since these are in demand for dessert) and also replace a couple of pieces that have gone missing. Again, wonderful silverware!!!

Long time user
We purchased this flatware over 6 years ago and it has been used daily since then. It still looks great! We have very acid and very hard well water that is tough on all our appliances, faucets, pipes, etc but the the flatware that goes regularly through the dishwasher is good. I highly recommend the Cirrus Flatware!

Unbelievable rusting
I've had this flatware set for a little over a year, and every single piece is rusty (some pieces more than others). The utensils have always been well cared for...kept clean and dry, etc.
I am very disappointed with the quality of this product.

Took it back
I really loved this set of flatware! I loved the design and the weight of the pieces. But before long I noticed the rusty marks and pitting on some of the pieces. As time went on it got so bad I was embarrassed to put it out for guests. I packed it up and took it back. While there was really no problem returning it, the sales person suggested that I could remove the spots if I used silver polish. The product states it is dishwasher safe, but apparently you have to follow very detailed instructions. In the end, the set simply isn't worth all the work needed to keep it spot free. I don't think everyday flatware should need that much care.

So inexpensive!
This is a 52-piece set for only $90! That's fantastic. They're very plain which I like but that may not cater to everyone's style. I think they're very versatile and look great with all place settings.

Really disappointed
I was wanting to replace my existing flatware and really liked the look and feel of this flatware. After washing them in the dishwasher they look terrible. They have "pits" and look like they are old and worn out flatware. I am really disappointed considering the price I paid. I thought I was getting a good value. Would not waste my money on buying this flatware.

Classic style
I purchased this set and find the pattern a classic style that will last throughout the years. It is weighted nicely as well as being sturdy. This is the perfect gift for a bride....Who wouldn't want this beautiful set of 52 pieces?!

Great Value for Price
Most of the flatware sets I have gotten in the past never seem to have enough of the basics (regular sized forks/ spoons) to keep you buying more of the sets to get the amount of the basics you wanted. This set has plenty of the basics plus the other flatware in the set that comes in handy. Great for everyday use, as I have yet to find myself running out of spoons or forks.

Highly recommend!!!
Love this flatware set!!! Feels much more expensive than it really is. We haven't seen any rust spots yet as mentioned in previous reviews. We are very pleased with our purchase! Would definitely recommend to others!!!

Won't last
I really like the style of this flatware, but over the last year, some of the pieces are starting to look a little rusty. I was hoping we'd have these for many years, but I'm not sure how much longer they're going to last.

Simple & Elegant
These get daily use at my house and, after almost two years, are holding up extremely well. They come nice and clean and shiny in the dishwasher, don't bend or scratch even under heavy use by young children, and look just as good on a festive table as a casual one.

Disappointed
I registered for two sets, got both and washed one set, and immediately noticed that there were little rust spots around any tiny scratch. I know flatware gets scratched after use, but these haven't been used yet. I am scared to see what happens after a month. I was going to trade out the scratched for non scratched utensils between the two sets and return/exchange the other as defective, but now I am thinking that I need to pay more for something that will look better longer than one wash.

very satisfied
I saw other reviewers mention rust, so I had to write.
I've had this set and have been using it daily for about 10 years. Absolutely no traces of rust, ever. They are a pleasing weight and a pleasing shape. I love this flatware!
We don't have a dishwasher so we have to hand wash everything. I don't know if this matters as far as rust goes, not having much experience with dishwashers. I just can't imagine this flatware rusting.

Totally Satisfied
Nice look and weight. Very pleased with this purchase.
Someone mentioned rust. Not my experience after washing for many weeks. Re, stainless & rust – they are stainless, therefore they do not rust. Just as with a stainless steel sink however, letting stainless sit in contact with a wet and rusting object can let rust adhere to the surface. It is easy to remove with stainless steel cleaner. So that is not a concern with this product.

A Classic Flatware Set
I ordered this set based off the previous reviews and was not dissapointed. The set is a great weight and does not look or feel cheap. I have only been using the set for about 3 weeks so I can't really comment on the rust issue, but so far so good. I am very pleased with my purchase!
