The perfect everyday flatware
Received this flatware for my wedding about 2 years ago, and just bought another two sets last month to complete my set. I was happy to see that after 2 years of washing, I couldn't tell the difference between the new and old sets. It feels great in your hand, and is nicely weighted. I highly recommend.

Classic, Elegant Flatware
We use this as our everyday flatware and for formal occasions. It looks beautiful on the table. We often have guests commenting on how classy they look and are often surprised to find that this is our everyday flatware and not just something we pull out for formal affairs.
We like the simple, classic look that should age gracefully and always look in style. They have a heavy weight and wonderful balance in the hand.
The only negative is that the soup spoon is a bit bigger than average, but we liked the other pieces and style so much we were ok with this. On the plus side, they double as serving spoons quite well.

Beautiful, Elegant Everyday Flatware
Absolutely love this flatware ... have had it for 4 years & it's dulled a little, (I only know this because I had to buy some replacement spoons recently & was shocked at how shiny they were!)

Nice Balance
After searching for months, we found just the right flatware. The style is classic and will match any and the weight is nicely balanced. It washes up pretty well in the dishwasher, but any spots are somewhat hard to polish out. This is most likely due to the water quality in our area, not the flatware itself. The fact that these pieces feel so solid in the hand is a big deal. Everybody loves them, regardless of whether they have petite lady hands or big burly guy hands.

Great flatware
After 15 years, I finally decided to replace my old flatware, a long overdue purchase. I wanted a clean-lined, yet traditional pattern that would work with my everyday dinnerware, yet "dress up" when needed. Halsted is a great choice! It feels substantial - solid, well made. And cleans well in the dishwasher. I highly recommend Halsted.

first wedding present - a keeper!!
I didn't realize how excited I could get over flatware!! It is truly simple and elegant - perfect for formal or everyday use. We are so happy with our choice!!

Beautiful Flatware Set!
I wanted to upgrade my current silverware set, so I bought the Halsted set. It is so nice looking and has a great weight to it. We used it for Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone complimented me on them. The bigger spoon could be used as a serving spoon - it's very large! Great silverware set, I would recommend to anyone. Con - price.

Awesome!
I registered for this four years ago and I still love it. The finish has held up very well ( obvs some scratches, but still really shiny and the scratches are minimal).
We use it for everyday but also for dinner parties when i don't feel like dragging out the sterling (and then hand washing it - UGH).
Highly, highly recommend.

A great pick for any table
We needed to register for flatware that could be used everyday as well as for more formal occasions, and this turned out to be the perfect pick. The selling point for us was that the handles are nice and heavy but still fairly flat, so they stack nicely on top of each other in our drawers and flatware chest. The mirrored finish is holding up incredibly well - no scratches or dulling after several months of use.
I do agree with some of the other reviews - the spoons are huge. In fact, we sometimes have trouble telling them apart from our matching Halsted serving spoons because they're so close in size. My husband uses them no problem, but I almost always reach for one of the teaspoons instead.

Added Halsted to my registry!
My fiance and I were trying to decide on a simple but elegant flatware pattern for our wedding registry. Here's the catch - my fiance is a big guy (6'6") with hands to match. He hates flatware with very slender or delicate handles, because they're hard to hold on to! Enter the Halsted line: it was our instant favorite when we looked at flatware in the store. The handles are hefty yet truly elegant - not only do they feel substantial, but also would look stunning on a table set with stainless steel chargers! One warning: the soup spoon is quite large in comparison to C&B's other flatware, so those who like a more dainty soup setting may want to go with another line (like the Austen, our 2nd favorite).

Get ready for large spoons
The spoons are very large although I have adjusted to them and they no longer seem so gigantic. Otherwise, though, this is a fantastic set. Along with other reviewers, I agree the weight is very nice and was part of the reason I chose these. The style is classic and versatile for everyday and formal occasions. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the spoon size.

Lovely.
My fiance and I registered for these as our place settings-- we've only received one setting yet, but still we use them whenever we can. They are a fabulous weight in your hand, which gives it that fine dining quality similar to using silver. But you can put them in the dishwasher and include them in your everyday dining without worrying about their sensitivity to scratching. They also look great on a set table. We love them!

My husband and I chose this flatware for its classic shape but also for its weight. We both liked that these utensils were a bit heavier and how it felt to hold them. The only drawback is that the teaspoons are quite large for a teaspoon. FYI, these are made by Lenox.
