family favorite
Perfect for a family that wants style and convenience! I have a toddler (and husband) who are delightful but messy. This placemat wipes off easily and helps hold plates securely to the table. I couldn't ask for more. I have them on a white table and they look great. With all the stainless accessories in the kitchen, it ties the table in nicely!

Prettier in Person
As other reviewers have said, I probably would've passed this placemat by if I saw it in the stores. I happened upon it online and decided to try it out. It is very pretty and appears to be well made. It is a vinyl sort of material with cut outs in the pattern.. its not one flat solid mat. it is a nice almost metalic pewter color, brighter than shown in the photos.
I use it on top of a burlap table runner, beneath a bowl of fruit. it looks pretty and rustic and special. I recommend it as a solo piece or in a group, as a traditional place mat.

Fancy but everyday
These are such great additions to my dinner table. I have an espresso table and these just bring a little light into the room. I added clear plates on top to be able to see the decorations all the time. The are very pretty!
