Practical and Classy
The tray has worked perfect on our ottoman in the absence of end tables for our couch. We threw some coasters on to prevent damage, but it's working great.

Ornamental piece
I bought this item already slightly damaged (dings, a few scratches). I was looking more for a ornamental piece and it works perfect. It sits on my huge coffee table with some other pieces. I don't mind the dings and scratches, in due time anything wood will end up with a scratch. It adds character to the piece.

Disappointed by poor quality
I loved the look and size of the tray. I bought one for myself and as a housewarming gift for a friend. However, few days after we got those trays - cracks appeared at the base! My friend called to get a replacement - the new tray arrived with even deeper cracks! Nice look but poor quality!

Six months later...
I chose this tray for its generous size and dark finish. Initially, I would have given this 4 or 5 stars. After using it for almost six months, I've decided to go with 3 stars or an "Average." We use this tray almost daily since it sits on top of a leather ottoman and we use it to hold drinks (hot and cold) and the occasional snack. Every now and then I will use it to carry drinks and snacks into the tv room. A couple of things that make me feel that it wasn't worth $60: First, there is thin crack in the finish about 4 inches long. It appears to be where two pieces of wood have been pieced together to form the base of the tray. I'm assuming the glue and the finish are damaged by the minimal water from condensation dripping from a cold drink. Second, one of the brass corners popped off while I was brushing crumbs out of the tray. I was only using a soft cloth so I was a bit surprised to see that happen. I popped it back on and it has stayed on. I now use the vacuum cleaner attachment to get the crumbs, then give it a wipe with a soft cloth. Overall, it's an attractive piece, but I think it serves better as an ornamental piece rather than something actually used day to day--even if it's just light use.

beautiful and classy
I just purchased this tray a month ago for a wedding of a very well to do family. At the gift opening, everyone thought it was a beautiful tray, and wanted one for themselves. It's a large size, and beautiful color. Very sturdy. I highly recommend it.

Very Pleased
I just received this serving tray and it's beautiful!! Sits on top of my ottoman perfectly. Looks even better in person. I searched high and low for the right tray and I don't think I could be happier. From the picture I was a little concerned that brass accents would be too bright but they are actually darker than photo indicates which suites me fine.

This is an excellent tray and looks just like the picture. I have had no issues with it and it looks great.

Good but with reservations
I was surprised that the brass corners (are they really brass?) seem to be treated in some way and are unable to be polished. I have also now noticed a split in the base of the tray and will need to return it. Otherwise, size and shape are excellent and I am disappointed I could not be thouroughly pleased.

Wood Tray
The wood tray was beautiful with its dark wood and brass detail, but larger than I expected. I should have read the dimensions more carefully. Would have liked one in a smaller size!

Lovely!
We received this as a wedding gift and absolutely love it. It's sturdy, a great size, and it works well in bed, on the couch, or anywhere that you need a little extra stability.
