Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best option We chose this because it had all of the accompanying options which was lovely. My problem came after we washed them in our dishwasher. All of the knives came out with rust spots. I was so frustrated but couldn't find anything else in the store we liked as much. I consulted with a few of the employees at the store and one suggested that it was due to our hard water and that the metal in the knives will react in an odd way to the metal in the other flatware. She suggested that we keep the knives in their own bin in the dishwasher. We tried it but it worked and I've had no problems in the last month. I hope this helps others who may be having difficulties with this flatware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A truly awful design These utensils are just awful. Sure, they feel nice in your hands in the store when you're registering for wedding gifts, but in reality the design is very poor. The handles are extremely heavy and cause the utensils to constantly slide off plates and flip out of bowls and cups. So basically your silverware is always clattering to the floor, flinging oily, messy food everywhere--the table, the floors, your clothes, even the walls! I've had these since my wedding nine years now and can't wait to ditch them. Thankfully they are much more trying than my marriage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I was worried when I registered for these about the spots that other reviewers mentioned and their balance. I have to say that I am glad I went ahead and registered for them. This flatware is beautiful and, in my opinion, perfectly weighted. They feel substantial and sturdy in your hand. I have not noticed any spots; I hand-wash mine (I don't have a dishwasher) and let they fully dry on the counter before putting them away. They have fallen off our plates a couple times, but you learn pretty quickly to compensate for this. It hasn't been an issue and it definitely doesn't outweigh all the great things about this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Flatware I do agree with some of the other posts. I find these to be a bit heavy and do tend to see fingerprints on them, but I still love them. They do fly of my plate from time to time, although my husband doesn't seem to have this issue. He loves them! He uses the big fork and I use the little fork for meals. At the beginning I noticed spots on our flatware. I went to C&B and asked one of the employees and she told me you cannot use dishwasher detergent that has any citrus in it. We switched to a "non-citrus" detergent and the rusty looking spots have disappeared. All in all we love this flatware and even bought 12 more instead of buying fancier flatware to go with our china.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not balanced we registered for this silverware and really liked the look of it from a design perspective. However, when we started to use it, anytime we moved the plate (clearing the table, etc) unless the utensil was completely on the plate, it would fall off to the floor. After that happening a couple times, it was enough for us to return and exchange for a different style. Luckily, we had only opened 5 sets of flatware, the others were brand new. My advice to any style you get, is to only open a few sets to try out and see if they work for you, before opening all. Also, in the store, take a fork, etc, and grab a plate from and take a short walk to make sure it stays on the plate! C&B was great and easy on the exchange. We ended up getting Olympic and so far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Heavy Silverware We registered for this silverware and absolutely love it. After reading some of the reviews about the sliding silverware, we were a bit nervous, but honestly, it's been a minimal problem for us. Yes, it is heavy and has no pattern to grip it, but if you place it in the middle of the plate and walk at a normal pace there really isn't a problem! Besides, it's the lack of crazy pattern that drew us to this set in the first place...it will remain stylish. Also, I love how oversized the spoons are! If you plan to run around in circles with this silverware on your plate, then maybe this set isn't for you. However, I haven't had any problems so far. Besides, the weight of it feels great in your hand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Flatware My husband and I have used this silverware for almost 5 years now. Aesthetically it looks nice, however, I do see fingerprints easily. My only complaint is the weight...it easily falls off plates, which is annoying. I have NOT seen any rust on it, but then again, I hand wash it most of the time. I've never polished it and it still looks good. I REALLY like the fact that I can order seperate pieces. I lost 2 of the teaspoons and a salad fork, and just reordered new ones. I'm glad I don't have to order an entire set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic! Love this set of silverware. I've been looking for a new set, and these were perfect for me. The shape of them have a very classic look to them - with a slightly more modern edge. They have a nice shine to them, and are heavy (but not too heavy!). The only negative thing I've experienced is after a few times in the dishwasher, there have been a few rusty spots that showed up. I immediately wiped them with a cloth, and the spots came right off. Not sure if that is normal or not? Either way, I intend to keep this set for a long time, and would recommend them to others!! I LOVE them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style, weight, feel We purchased the full set of Couture (place settings, serving utensils, steak knives, etc.) and absolutely love them. I have not noticed the spotting issue that some reviewers mentioned, but we do make a point to rinse off the utensils before putting them in the dishwasher, so perhaps that makes a difference. I find the weight lovely, and haven't had a problem with utensils falling off plates when you move them, as mentioned by other reviewers. I love the look of these, I love the weight and feel in your hand, and am so pleased we went with this style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect placesetting i love these. they are beautiful with a heavy weight. others commented on it flying off their plates but what do you think will happen with a heavy utensil that has a smooth finish??? i have never had an issue and i love them so much that i've bought the set for others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best I tested a lot of different flatware before I bought this Couture set and couldn't love a set more. The balance is perfect from front to back and I've had it for about 4 years now and it has held up nicely to the demands of this family of 4. As with anything it has had some ware and tare but is still in excellent condition. I followed other's reviews about not washing it with a detergent with lemon as an ingredient and I have not had a problem with spots since.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unbalanced and too blunt I registered for this flatware and wish I had chosen something else. They look great, but as others have said, their heavy handles cause them to frequently fall of the plate when you're carrying it. The tines on the forks are too blunt and close together, making it almost impossible to spear leafy greens in a salad. The knives get rust spots in the dishwasher, so now I hand wash all of the knives. I would not recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I bought these to fulfill a Wedding Registry, but I did get to see and feel the actual product after delivery. The pieces are very nice and have a good weight to them. They fit nicely in a full grip, but they are not "delicate." My only tip is that there is also a 20 piece setting, so if you are planning to buy more than four settings, look up the 20 piece set and save some bucks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from forks don't stab food Eating salad with these forks is impossible. The tines are too blunt, or too close together. We dig out our old cheap forks every night for dinner. It makes me sad because I like the look of the silverware, and it was a wedding gift. But I think I will have to replace our flatware, because the forks are unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and Heavy Weighted We love the feel of these forks, knives, and spoons. They are comfortable to hold, FEEL heavy, and you can just tell upon picking them up that they are quality. Easy to clean - just pop in the dishwasher. Definitely worth the price. We registered for 12 sets, got them all, and love them!
