Rated 5 out of 5 by from fabulous I have had a french oven for many years and recently purchased one for my son, who loves to cook. He thought it was a little to expensive for a gift, but called me to tell me thanks and how much he loves his. He now knows why I chose to spend a little extra. I am buying one for my daughter for her birthday!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my kitchen My husband and I purchased the green version of this French Oven at a Crate and Barrel outlet and the discounted price was great. We've used it frequently since and we are very happy to have something we can use both in the oven and on the stove. It's sturdy and transfers heat evenly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An absolute staple in my kitchen I'm a big fan of Le Creuset for it's high quality, durability, cooking performance and the brand's heritage. They are definitely an investment, but they are worth every penny. You'll have it your whole life, and it cooks better than anything I've ever used (and I cook at least two scratch meals daily). This size in particular is a must. It's perfect for larger batches of stock, soups and stews, for a big family, entertaining, or just to have plenty of leftovers. I will say that I use this equally as often as my 5 1/2 quart Le Creuset, since most of the time I'm just cooking for my husband and I and don't need large quantities. However, if you're only going to invest in one right now, I would choose the 7.25 quart just for versatility.I really can't say enough good things about this line. The Dutch oven works perfectly for lots of cooking jobs, and looks lovely on the table. Another plus is that it keeps food nice and hot on the table (I've even been known to use the 3 1/2 quart preheated and filled with warm rolls on the table), and it can double as a small cooler if you refrigerate or freeze it ahead of time (even brought ice cream sandwiches on a picnic in a pre-frozen Dutch oven).I swear I don't know how I lived without my collection. They're just amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from re: Perfect Pot I'm a huge fan of Le Creuset pots. Yes, they are pricey. But I've used my 7 qt Le Creuset to cook everything from chili to short ribs. It cooks fast and evenly. And the piece itself is so lovely that I have it on display. These pots are heavy so be warned, but that's why they cook so evenly and so well.
