The Story

Paired triangles scatter dusky grey on charcoal in Josi Severson's chic, minimalist composition. Cut pile sets the background for a thicker yarn that is looped to create the pattern, handcrafted by skilled artisans.

Mischa 5x8 Rug is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for families I'm very pleased with this rug. The bluish-grayish color does a great job of hiding spills, which happen often with 2 little kids. It's easy to clean up said spills and hasn't held any stains so far. The thickness feels wonderful under bare feed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful rug! This rug is a very unique pattern, and really beautiful grey with blueish undertones. It's a nice thick rug, too, and very soft under foot. We have it in a low traffic area, so haven't noticed any wearing issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unique design, but low quality I fell in love with this rug when I first saw it online and visited a store to see it in person. It was absolutely beautiful and I brought home a 5 x 8, as it was perfect for the color scheme in our living room. After about two weeks of placing one in our living room (very low traffic), I noticed that several of the threads of the raised triangle/diamonds had started to come loose. Assuming that it might be just a defective piece, I took it back to the store and got it replaced. The replacement also showed loose threads in a matter of days. It was a huge disappointment. I was so emotionally invested in this piece for its uniqueness and color. The only reason I might buy one of the smaller sizes is if I wanted to use it as a "wall tapestry", as the design is just too fragile for even low foot traffic. I ended up buying another rug by the same designer, which was equally beautiful and far more sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tons of compliments I bought the 5'x8' rug to create a separate sitting area in the main room of my small home. I have a light grey loveseat, so I wanted something that would coordinate without having to match the colors exactly. This fits the bill- the shapes are similar in color to my furniture, and the dark grey looks great in contrast.I especially appreciate the care instructions that were included with the rug- don't use your vacuum's beater bar (the part that spins) when cleaning this. The shapes are raised from the background, which gives it a very interesting texture, but could also be a mess if the vacuum somehow got tangled into it.I have a beagle. Although he doesn't make many messes, he sheds a ton! I've found that a basic sticky lint roller works better than the vacuum to remove fur.Anyone who has visited my home since I bought the rug has complimented it. It's very soft and doesn't look like an ordinary rug. I paired it with the thick pad, and it's quite an upgrade from the old, cheap acrylic rug I had before.
