WoW!!
I am a self professed 'dish freak' and I was looking for something that would house my collection. This does it perfectly...no where could I find something this large for this price! The color is very red, I might have preferred another color if it had been available...but I have embraced the color and just love that it makes it so easy for me to see what I have at a glance!

Amazing
This cabinet is amazing. While not very deep, it holds an incredible amount of things (books, glass wear). No down side other than it being heavy and hard to move.

Oh my!
This is so much bigger than I thought. I must not know how to measure. I love, love, love this. I'm using this piece in my kitchen to store food. It is really very nice to be able to see everything we have, but in a beautiful way.

Perfect for my purposes
I was apprehensive about ordering such a big purchase without seeing the product, but when it arrived, I was not disappointed. It fits perfectly exactly where I pictured it, and it holds so much! I have a large collection of dishes and they all fit in it. The dimensions were spot on or it wouldn't have fit--very pleased about that!

Beautiful Cabinet
The cabinet was delivered on time by two friendly men. It smelled a little, but after leaving the doors open and wiping it down, it wasn't too bad. It is beautiful and perfectly compliments our farm table. It is definitely a statement piece and we've gotten lots of compliments on it.

Love this piece!
My fiancee and I bought this cabinet for all of the beautiful wedding gifts we've been receiving, and we love it! It is fantastic for storage as it fits so much, and it's wonderful to be able to display things that we don't often get to use (gravy boat, serving platters, vases...). We love this shade of red (not too bright, not too dark) and it gives the perfect splash of color to our dining room. We highly recommend this cabinet--we plan on keeping it forever!

Absolutely Fabulous!
It was love at first sight and I absolutely could not stop thinking about this furniture piece when I went home without purchasing it! I told myself (while I was at the store), that I would "sleep on it", because it was and is a bit pricy. Well, the problem is that I could not sleep! LOL... I think I even dreamt about it. This is all I ever wanted to store my beautiful collection of Tequila Bottles. I will try and share a picture with you guys. It looks absolutely amazing! I definitely reccoment this piece. Do not sleep on it, haha. It is sturdy and becomes the Main Attraction of the room where you place it. A must have!

Versatile cabinet, looks great.
We have had this cabinet for almost 4 years, and we love it. As mentioned by others, it was somewhat stinky for the first few weeks, but soon settled down. We keep liquor and a few china pieces in the top cabinet and books in the lower cabinet.Its so versatile.The color is just red enough and the distressed finish looks great, not shabby chicesh at all. Everyone who comes to our home comments on what a great piece it is. The only thing I would add would be some lighting, but I'm sure we could easily do that if we were so inclined.

Beautiful but arrived damaged...
The cabinet itself is absolutely stunning and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is well made, makes an amazing impression, is very unique, and the color is rich and gorgeous. However, one of the little rectangular panes of glass was cracked and Crate & Barrel is sending a replacement at the end of the week, which although annoying and an inconvenience is very nice of them. I don't regret the purchase however - it's a BEATUFUL piece.

Poor matching paint
I am disgusted that the paint job on both of my pieces don't match. I like the larger Rojo Cabinet and purchased the rojo media cabinet to match. It was delivered yesterday and they don't match. I am thinking seriously about asking to return. Wife feels bad since this was one of her Christmas presents. Don't think I'll be purchasing anything from Crate & Barrel again if they don't except return.

Great Rustic Piece, Few Caveats
I have had the piece for a week. Delivery was smooth, the guys were careful and polite. It does have a chemical/resin type odor. I placed a box of baking soda on each shelf and opened the windows for 2 days. The odor is diminishing but still present, and I would not put anything porous in there at this time (books, fabrics, etc.) The finish does not come off when I rub it. I plan to polish the cabinet with beeswax as recommended - not easy to find, best to order some in advance. It is a rustic, somewhat roughly finished piece, but this is part of the charm. There are some particularly rough finished areas around the side of the crown and there is a small "bite" in front trim where it is noticeable. I am too harried to complain or return it, I plan to fill it in the chip w some wood putty and stain it. C&B warns you that the piece is "variable" and subject to cracking, settling. It is a warm, deep, dull red which adds nice color to a room without screaming "red!" I really like the color against my mellow-yellow walls. I plan to store some trays on the bottom shelf and all my glass collectibles which have been in boxes since I moved to my house years ago. I don't think it is suitable for storing linens or books because of the odor, finish issues. For the price, it is a substantial piece of furniture. If you like a country, rustic look, you will appreciate the Rojo cabinet.

My Favorite Piece of Furniture
As a young married couple, I waited for a few years for this to go on sale to buy. It never did, but I bit the bullet and spent the full amount. Totally worth it! It is the most beautiful piece of furniture in my house and perfectly protects and displays the great pieces we received at our wedding. Spend the cash, it is worth it!!

Makes the Whole Room
I absolutely LOVE this piece! I purchased it for my living room and it makes the whole room. It adds a fantastic pop of color and is great for displaying books and other treasures. I feel that it is so versatile as well and can be used in the kitchen, dining room, etc. Definitely worth the money!

A favorite piece
I absolutely adore this cabinet, it is one of my favorite pieces and really fits in with our antique-filled home. I purchased it on October of 2006 and have used it in two homes so far and continue to love it. It currently brightens up my dining room by showcasing two very extensive sets of china and crystal from my late grandmother. It is a great complement to the antique pieces I have in the room and also provides a lovely, rustic, charm. I love the unexpected pop of red color as well, without being overly bright. The cabinet did need to be wiped down in the interior prior to putting our dishes in, but I didn't mind that. I do it anyway. I know we will be enjoying this piece for years to come.

Good value
We just purchased this cabinet for our dining room. We purchased it to use as a china/liquor cabinet, but also because we could use it elsewhere if we need to, it is versatile. The cabinet is rustic, just what I was looking for - a Tuscan feel. I was warned when I ordered it to wipe down the shelves before filling it, which I did. It seemed like there was a residue of some sort of black wax, I assume this helps the finish look more rustic. The cabinet is beautiful. I am having it upfitted with special interior lighting to showcase my mother's china. I was also VERY pleased with the shipping. The piece was shipped earlier than I expected, delivered by professionals who took their time,carefully unboxed and set up the piece exactly where I wanted it. They waited while I examined it to make sure I was satisfied with it. The shipping cost was well worth it.

Awesome Office Storage
I ordered this piece for my office from the website without ever seeing it in person. The minute it came out of the box I knew it was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I use it for storing books and office supplies. Most people think it's an antique. It is warm and slightly rustic without being too "cutesy." Almost everyone who comes into my office comments on it immediately (even a guy who was lost and at the wrong office). In order to hide my collection of pens, spare folders, paper etc. I took pictures of my kids and fit them into the glass panes of the lower doors. That way I can show off some of my favorite photos and hide the bottom storage. Like I said in the tite, this is an awesome piece.

you need to know
This cabinet and matching media unit are very high maintenance. The pieces were delivered during hurricane Alex and proceeded to bleed red paint on my carpet. The shelves were crooked in the media cabinet and a warning arrived after I contacted customer service- anything placed in units should be protected from interior paint. Not suitable for book or linen storage. Also- the cabinet must be secured to a wall stud because it is top-heavy and could fall over. The only plus was C&B customer service that promptly had my carpet cleaned.

Lovely but stinky
I ordered this cabinet and the low media cabinet in December and received them in January. They are terrific, attractive pieces of furniture but they do stink even five months later. I followed customer service's suggestion to place aquarium charcoal in containers inside and that removed a bit of the smell. I keep china and pottery in the large cabinet so that's not a problem and I leave the doors open often but I was going to put books in the low cabinet. I'm afraid they will absorb the pungent odor. Even my husband who is not usually sensitive to odors has asked when it will go away.
