Good buy
Looks, feels and smells solid, modern and beautiful in our bedroom. Cleaning the front may require a vaccum cleaner. Top and sides are smooth to the touch and well finished, front is rough (steel wire brushed), as expected.
The drawers are shallower than you may expect by just looking the chest from the outside, but they are wide. You may need separators to better organize your stuff, depending on use. To open the drawers you need to pull from the bottom of the drawers.
Everything -including the bottom of drawers and even the rear panel in the back are solid wood.
Because chest is made of solid wood, it is heavy. If installed on a hard surface you will need to add soft pads on each corner to prevent floor damage.
As a safety precaution, you need to open one drawer at a time. Nothing prevents opening all of them at the same time. You may want to restrain the drawer to the wall using provided hooks and tie-wraps, especially if kids may have access.

Better than expected
Bought two of these dressers. There are perfect - really well made. Drawers roll out easily, un-polished finish on top is wearing well - no marks after 8 months of use. I would not hesitate to buy again, or to recommend to others to buy. I also like the idea that scrap wood was reused to build the dressers.

Love it!
I first saw this in the store. I thought about it for weeks... then finally ordered it. It is as beautiful here as it was in the store. It is still in the dining room, but I am sure it will look great in the bedroom! Our bed will be walnut and the dressers will look great with it.

Love This (w/One Small Reservation)
Bought 2 of these for our bedroom - 1 for my husband, and 1 for me. The repurposed wood is gorgeous, and something to feel good about. We were going for a spa-ish look in our bedroom, and these are exactly right. The Sierra line is all quality, and has a real wow factor. Just one small reservation to consider. The drawers are somewhat shallow. If you are used to a dresser with deep drawers - think differently. Fortunately, the drawers are wide, and there are 4 of them. They work.
