Silcone Muffins Cups Sticky at First
Because most muffin tins sold in stores come with a petrochemical-based coating that can be easily scraped off and ingested, I use paper cups as liners. Paper cups stick to the muffins. So I tried Silicone Muffin Cups. The first batch stuck. I was frustrated. A chef pal said his muffin cups worked so well, the muffins sometimes slipped out and fell on the floor. Naturally, I can't divulge where he works, other than it's in Las Vegas.
So I tried them again. On the third batch, they must've gotten "worn in" because now they work fine. Yes, they are a pain to clean but that's what a scrub brush and a little soak in the sink are for. If you bake and don't like the mess, get your significant other to clean up.

Best purchase
Ona scale of 1-10 these are a 12. Best thing ever invented. You simply fill cups & place on a cookie sheet. No need to spray or put in a cupcake pan. They come out without any problems at all. With the price of paper cupcake liners, which I have no idea they are so hightly priced, this is something that will last forever. Price was right, I ordered on-line one night & received the next day. What great service!! I will definately order on-line in the futyre. Great customer service!!

TERRIBLE!!!!
These are terrible! I followed directions exactly and my cupcakes did not "pop out easily" as product claims. I had to scrape the cupcakes out with a fork leaving them completely mangled. And to top it off, the grooves make them a nightmare to clean. The only reason I'm not throwing them out is that I figure they might be useful for a kid's school project one day. Or maybe as a glue/paint cup. Don't waste your money -- go back to good old fashion paper cups or greased muffin pan.

Doesn't work as advertised
Impossible to clean, muffins and cupcakes don't come out cleanly. Would not recommend. Liked the idea of reusing but it's just too much of a hassle

Great for Cupcakes!
These are so easy to use, and make cupcakes ready to go for a party or quick travel in the cupcake travel carrier. No messy wrappers to un-wrap, just eat and enjoy! Easy to handwash because you can turn them inside out, or are fine in the dishwasher on top shelf. Love them!

I like them.
They're not perfect - sometimes I need to soak them before putting them in the dishwasher. Sometimes the cupcakes baked in them have a tiny bit of an odd taste. But, I still like them a lot and use them very often. I'm not sure if they are that much of a help to the environment (cause it does require a cycle through the dishwasher to clean them). I bought two containers so I have enough for each time I make cupcakes. Good product, but does have some flaws.

Nice addition to my kitchen arsenal!
I tested them out for the first time with lemon-lime cupcakes I made from scratch. The cupcakes popped out without incident and look beautiful and the cups are easy to clean with soapy water.

WORST PURCHASE EVER
"I just got these as a gift last week. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the muffins won't come out in one piece and they don't come clean in the dishwasher. I even hand washed them and they're still not clean. and as the other buyer said I can't wait to get rid of these!"

The many failures
I'm a baker, through and through. Also, I'm a tree hugger eager to reduce/reuse/recycle whenever I can. I was excited to get these baking cups and was very happy to have found them in clear (read: not an obnoxious color). After over a year of baking with and without them, I'd advise you to save your money and stick with paper liners.
Cons:
• The cup size is a bit smaller than a standard muffin tin
• muffins and cupcakes are tricky to get out of them once baked. They don't flip inside out like paper does.
• they are NOT easy to clean, by dishwasher, by soaking, or by hand
• People aren't used to muffin/cupcake liners as being reusable. I took muffins to work and a few folks threw the cups away, not understanding they weren't disposable. :(
Pros:
•reusable

Bad Purchase
I just got these a week ago and tried them for the first time this weekend. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but the muffins won't come out in one piece and they don't come clean in the dishwasher. I even hand washed them and they're still not clean. I can't wait to get rid of these!

Sticky and Hard to Clean
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but cupcakes are hard to get out and a crumby layer is left behind. I have to soak these for hours before scrubbing them clean.
Are you people spraying your cups with butter or something? I was hoping not to have to do that.

Handy
The concept is great; however, the cups are a little small and doe not release the cupcakes. We ended up eating them with a fork; which might be a plus.
Sometimes paper holders are hard to use when actually eating the cupcake; since I couldn't get the cupcakes out..I served them with the silicone cups and just used dessert forks. Some people liked this way of eating their cupcake. If they were larger I might like them.

Very good!
These baking cups are more than good! The dough really doesn't stick. So far, it has been the best way to prepare cupcakes.
Also, with these, you avoid the dough getting stick to the paper cups...
Highly recommended.

This is my second set and I am completely in love with the cups. Very easy to clean, the cup cakes get bake evenly and have the perfect golden color.

Great for baking
I bought one set at the store to try and just recently bought another set. You do need two sets of twelve to bake a batch of cupcakes from boxed mixes. They were great: just set them on a cookie sheet, fill them 3/4 way full, bake at regular temps and after ward, turn them over - wait a minute or two - and they pop out quite nicely. Easy to clean with dish soap and water by hand.

ideal for temperamental ovens
perfect for muffins and cupcakes! these baking cups were just waiting to be introduced to the u.s. after they introduced those of us who cook/bake at home to the silpat. it's about time too! europeans have been using silicone bakeware for ages. i love the fact that you can put them in the freezer and the oven. you do need to coat them with a light misting of cooking spray before you put the batter in (especially if it's particularly moisture-rich). but it is so helpful to have these around if your oven is hotter than it says it is because any bakeware made of material having superior heat conductivity (metal, glass) will overbake under these conditions. you DO have to check on them once or twice regardless of them being made of silicone. you just arrange them on a baking sheet and pour the batter in and pop them in the oven. i like that they come in mini-muffin sizes too!

Handy
I love these little baking cups. It's nice that you are not wasting paper baking cups when using these. Muffins/cupcakes bake evenly in these and they are easy to clean.

Great kitchen addition!
These cups are easy to use, and clean. You can use them for multiple purposes too, because they are more rigid than a traditional baking cup. Fun seasonal colors are offered occassionally at the store & they are great for parties. Also, much easier to store than paper cups that lose shape.

Makes Perfect Cupcakes!
I was a little skeptical about these the first time, but thought I would give them a try after my husband cracked my stone muffin pan in half. I couldn't be happier with how perfect the cupcakes turned out! They cooked evenly and just slide right out with a smooth exterior and no paper to peel.

LOVE silicone bakeware!!
These are great! They really do always cook evenly and it is very easy to get your muffins or cupcakes out of the cup. The only thing I would recommend is to hand wash them. The dishwasher does not do a very good job cleaning in the grooves of the cup.
