Beautiful Bamboo
I am very happy with this bread box. It is beautiful, just what i wanted. It is constructed well, and seems like it will hold up for a long time. Far better than others that i have looked at.

this bread box is worth the dough!
I just recently purchased this bread box after weeks of searching for the perfect one.I found similar ones at a couple other retailers for around the same price.This one by far is the sturdiest and the roomiest and it looks wonderful with all of my other coordinating bamboo kitchen stuff from C&B!I love it and would highly recommend it!

Keeps bread fresh but could be hardier
This is a great contemporary-looking bread box and it keeps the bread inside fresh. However, one day someone bumped into it and when it bounced off a wooden cabinet, the bamboo splintered in one part (not too noticeable but still felt a little shoddy), and it is not quite long enough to hold some loaves of bread, even though it is nice and wide. Still, I am happy with this purchase.

Perfect Breadbox
I looked everywhere for the perfect breadbox and this one has it all -- sleek style, durable renewable material, skillful construction and, best of all, a built-in cutting board. It's easy to open and close and provides just enough ventilation to keep crust crisp. My homemade bread, a long free-form loaf, fits in perfectly. There's even room for the bread knife inside.

Bad Smell - Bamboo or Formaldahyde from Glue
Amazing looking breadbox, just what I wanted for my counter space. BIggest problem is the odor that permeates everything put inside. Tried to air out, rub with additional mineral oil, all to no effect. Would rate at 5 stars without the smell. Have many other bamboo products that do not have this issue. Note that not all reviewers have this problem. Will try to exchange and see if I can get a "clean" box.

beautiful
This is a really attractive piece and very functional. My only annoyance is that it is a bit small. It really only fits one loaf of bread. I'd like to be able to stick two loaves in it... but it looks great on the counter!

Bread stays fresh!
We buy fresh bread and it now stays fresh 3 times longer than it did before! I didn't think it would make such a difference but it does. And it looks great on our butcher block counters. Great purchase - very happy.

I'm So Disappointed!!!
The look of this bamboo breadbox is absolutely wonderful. It is eco-friendly and very chic so naturally it was a favorite item on our wedding registry. Unfortunately, we have been using it for a couple of months and everything we put inside it takes on a sour-like funky smell, and some items even acquire a weird aftertaste. (Perhaps its from the bamboo) We are leaving the bread items in their plastic wrappings, and this still happens. Wheat breads and flour tortillas seem to fall victim to the smell/taste the quickest!

Bamboo Bread Box Review
Our son and his wife use this bread box in their home, and we thought it was great. Modern, stylish, a nice compliment to our granite countertops. We usually have a loaf of bread and something else like an English muffin package or a package of hamburger buns. Our only complaint is it could be a bit larger, but still, it's a handsome addition. And despite what another review said, ours has no odor at all. It's priced a bit high, but the quality is tops. We recommend it highly.

Too Small
The probem is not to product. The quality of this bread box is 5 star. C&B's description is -1 star because there's NO demensions stated. The unit is VERY small! Had to send it back. C&B fix your description and its a 5 star.

i dont like the odor
I love the look and size of this bread box
Unfortunately it has a strong odor, I guess from the bamboo , that is unpleasant and transfers to the plastic bags holding the bread. Fortunately it does not transfer to the bread. If anyone knows of a way to get rid of this odor i would greatly appreciate the information. If I can get rid of this odor, I would recommend this bread box.

Looks great on the counter
Excited to have this bread box! It looks great on the counter. I wish it was slightly bigger as not more than 2 full loaves will fit in without bread-smushing! Still recommend it though.

Yes!
I just picked this up and so far so good. It fits about 2 loaves of bread and its really easy to open and close. (Unlike the metal ones which scrape on the sides sometimes). Becareful of the hinges b/c the first one I bought was loose, I had to exchange it. This is a little pricey, but I guess you pay for quality. Overall its a neat little thing to have.

Favorite Wedding Gift!!
I registered for this bread box, and I honestly didn't know I would love it as much as I do!! It's beautiful, sturdy and OH so functional! It is a great value for what you get. I've seen other bread boxes in this price range that are flimsy and poorly constructed. This is a MUST if you are like me and need extra storage. It looks great on my counter top!

Great Bamboo Bread Box
I love all the bamboo products that C&B has to offer. Now we have the Brad Box that looks great and keeps our bread really fresh throughout the week.

Love it!
I had been searching for a decent looking bread box and this is it!! Great size-it holds my bread and english muffins. It is very nice looking on my counter top! Definetly reccomend it.
