Zippers broke after a few uses
I first bought one of these bags from Crate and Barrel's website in Nov, 2010, and that bag has held up perfectly to this day! That good experience inspired me to buy four more of the bags from the C&B website in Nov, 2011. Unfortunately, the four that I bought in 2011 are NOT as high-quality as the one I bought in 2010, and like at least one other reviewer of this product, I had a big problem: The zippers broke after a few uses. I'm very disappointed.

sturdy, superhero grocery bag
These are the first bags to really give me an incentive to bring my own bags to the grocery store (beyond the everyday incentive of reducing waste). I still can't believe how much each of these bags can hold, so they make shopping faster and easier, with fewer bags to fill and fewer bags of groceries to carry inside from the car. plus, if you live a ways from the store, as we do, it's great that they are insulated. The biggest surprise about these is the price. They are so inexpensive. We have three and they hold a lot more (and a lot better) than three brown paper bags. One of my favorite purchases.

zipper broke
After just a few uses, the zipper tab pulled off one side of the track. I still use the bag for local shopping, but the utility is now compromised for longer-term insulation. Disappointing.

Compact and handy
We ordered two of these bags to keep in our car for grocery shopping. We put all of our frozen and refrigerated groceries inside, as well as refrigerated produce. When we get home, the frozen foods are stilll frozen and the refrigerated items are nice and cold.
These bags fold up nicely and when expanded hold quite a lot. Space is a premium for us, as our car is a new VW Beetle. We may need to buy two more to keep in our Ranger pick-up, just in case......

Love this bag!
I love the size and look of this bag. Folds nicely, is sturdy and holds just enough. Would definitely recommend this to everyone. Have received many compliments too!

Trying to stay green
Just received these insulated bags with the ice packs and want to start using them as it's still so hot here ...by the time I get my groceries home things often wilt. Hoping to keep cold and frozen items fresh as when I bought them....just wish they were made in America.

Sturdy and a good price
This bag is very sturdy and worth the extra money. Great quality and wash easily if something gets spilled in them or if something sticky gets placed in them.

what a help in hot weather
This bag is just great for transporting frozen items in 100 degree weather. I also bought some freezer packs and will throw a few in the bag before I leave home and when I get back the frozen items are just fine. This is one of my favorite purchases from anywhere. I had to reorder several more after I received the first bag. Just a great product!

Good reuseable tote
Purchased for use of food when traveling in vehicle and to hotels, for short trips and light amount of food, basically snacks etc. Was somewhat not what I expected. Had ordered 2, so put one inside the orther and used the cardboard from ship box to put in bottom for support. Wish there were other colors and the handles were a little longer to grasp hold of. Size is nice and the insulation is a plus. Wanted something that did not look 'tacky' when going to hotels etc.

These are great!
I just bought two of these. They are great. Just as described. Large enough for quite a few items. I live rural and have to shop for my groceries far from my home. I really like the zipper, it keeps everything from falling out and rolling around in the trunk of my car. This bag is perfect for me!

Best Purchase Ever

Handy Grocery Bag
I love this grocery bag. It’s lightweight and approximately the size of the reusable bags you purchase at the grocery store. The bonus feature is the zipper closure which keeps all your contents nice and cool for the ride home. The clerks don’t seem to mind them, I think because the bag stands upright while placing items inside. The only minor negatives: it doesn’t fold down nice and compact, the handles could have been constructed sturdier, and Crate and Barrel only offers light green. If you're looking for a nice handy inexpensive bag that will help keep your items cold, this is the bag for you.
