A valve closes automatically when the carafe is removed from the coffeemaker, and double-wall construction with vacuum insulation keeps coffee hot. A non-drip spout and a leak-free lid with push-and-pour functionally makes for effortless and neat serving. For maximum heat retention, pre-warm the carafe with hot water for five minutes prior to brewing.
