The cast iron distributes and holds heat evenly on the stovetop or in the oven—no seasoning required—while the black enamel finish resists scratches and stains. Straight, medium-height sides ably contain splatters, the stainless steel lid seals in heat and moisture, and the extra-wide handles provide a comfortable grip (even with oven mitts).
