summary
One of the best holiday tips we have to offer is to make a big batch cocktail. Not only does this make entertaining easier, but guests love the ease and excitement of having a specialty cocktail at a party. And the really big bonus of this cinnamon-spiced mulled wine recipe is that it will make your whole house smell incredible!
ingredients

- 5 whole cloves
- 2 star anise
- ½ orange, sliced
- ½ apple, sliced
- ¼ cup honey

notes
For this recipe you’ll want to use a moderately priced bottle of dry red wine. You don’t need to use a super-expensive wine, but you also don’t want a cheap bottle.
You will definitely want to strain out the cloves and star anise before serving. However, the apple, oranges and cinnamon sticks look really pretty so you can add those back into the pot if you’d like, or add fresh slices of each.
You can easily double, triple or even quadruple this cinnamon-spiced mulled wine recipe to serve a crowd.
You can substitute whiskey for the brandy, if you prefer.
