How to Test Wallpaper Swatches in Your Space

To ensure your chosen print complements your room, test your sample swatches under different light sources throughout the day. Tape your samples to various walls using painter's tape to see how natural morning sunlight and warm evening indoor lighting affect the colors and textures. Placing swatches directly against your trim, curtains and flooring also helps you visualize the finished room. If you are decorating a nursery or child’s room, explore our playful patterns and get design tips from Crate & Barrel’s Kids Design Desk.
