Inspired by the irregular shapes and mystery present in ancient artifacts, artist Alexandra Valenti conveys a sense of timelessness in this abstract composition. Using a muted palette and simple yet evocative shapes, the work looks both ancient and modern. Artist Alexandra Valenti first met designer Leanne Ford on a photoshoot in Los Angeles, and a friendship bloomed out of their mutual love of art and design—as well as their shared experiences of living and working in Texas. The pair are frequent collaborators, and Ford chose Valenti to create this series of paintings to capture the cool, modern vibe of Ford's exclusive furniture and decor collection for Crate and Barrel.
