How to Make Tea in a Chantal Tea Kettle

  1. Fill the Chantal tea kettle with cold, clean water. When using tap water, let the sink run for a few moments before filling the kettle. The oxygen in the water opens up the tea leaf, allowing it to release its flavor, so using flat or distilled water will produce a lower quality finished product.
  2. Turn on the stovetop and place the kettle on the burner; Chantal kettles work with all stovetops, including magnetic induction, electric and gas.
  3. Bring the water to a boil. The flat base of the kettle quickly heats the water, and the whistling cap signals when it is ready.
  4. Turn the burner off and grab your kettle by its handle. To take extra caution, use the provided handle sleeve.
  5. For most teas, pour water over the leaves immediately. For green and white teas, pour over once bubbles form at the bottom.
  6. Steep tea for 2 to 4 minutes. For green tea, steep for 1 to 3 minutes. Adjust the steep time to fit your preferences.
  7. After steeping, remove the leaves and enjoy.
