What was the inspiration behind the style of your table and event?

Cherry Blossom Events: The inspiration behind our styled table and the event was a really earthy and organic approach to fall but for a change in a very light color palette. The palette was bright yet still focused on more neutral hues of soft colors. Textural and modern against the beautiful backdrop of Crate’s crisp and clean brand was a really stunning end result.

How did you go about choosing which products to feature?

Cherry Blossom Events: We fell in love with your stoneware pieces right away – they felt perfect to the approach we were taking design wise and yet still had texture and the right colors used for our palette as well. We felt like designing with those pieces to give us a piece of the more true fall tones we see would be great as well! One thing kept building off the other such as finding the textural thin striped napkins we used and absolutely loved.

What is one registry tip you would give to a couple starting their registry with Crate?

Cherry Blossom Events: Sometimes it can be helpful to think through your own day and morning routine, etc. This helps you find what items might be most beneficial or most important to you. And it also can help hone in on exact products you need and want. Thinking through a normal day for the two of you from sunup to sundown can help direct you towards different areas of Crate and products to check out.

What was the inspiration behind the style of your table and event?

Keely Thorne Events: Styling inspiration came from the typical family dinner spread. When dining and entertaining at home, often food is set in the middle of the table for guests to serve themselves. We wanted to show couples a way to elevate that table setup by incorporating everyday china with stylish serving pieces and accenting decor elements.

How did you go about choosing which products to feature?

Keely Thorne Events: Deciding what Crate & Barrel products to use within this concept was pretty easy! Wanting a fresh look that reflected the fall season, while still remembering in Houston, fall can be a loose term, we blended dark, light and bright.

The FK Marble Platters were used as placemats for a natural element atop the Lakin Recycled Teak Dining Table, which is expandable- great for adding more guests or space for pretty food-scapes, paired with Vienna Matter Black Dining Chairs.

Rose gold flatware next to white dinner plates, taupe salad plates and white napkins added just enough classic mixed with modern to appeal to several couples in everyday life as well as dinner party use. The trio of glassware elevates the look into a more festive vibe while still staying true to the mixed styles of light traditional (Tour White Wine Glass), darker modern (Lunette Smoke Champagne Glass) and bright metallic (Pryce Gold Coup Glass).

What is one registry tip you would give to a couple starting their registry with Crate?

Keely Thorne Events: Think mixed use and long term for basic pieces and fun for accents! Just because it’s a white plate, doesn’t mean it can’t be used for a dinner party. Add some fun serving and decor accent pieces for variety in style.

And don’t be afraid to mix and match! You don’t have to use a plate from one collection with the bowl from the same collection.
