so functional, but sharp on feet
i really prefer wooden bath mats like teak or this mixed wood. i think it is so much more hygienic in comparison to fabric/ rug mats. this one is nice, a good size though the edges are a bit sharp. it could have used some sanding before being approved for production. i am not sure if this wood holds up the same against prolonged moisture as teak does... i guess we'll see over time.

Beautifully natural...
I bought this about 5 years ago and it's still holding up really well. The color is nice, I've had it on two vinyl laminate floors with no color transfer. We plan to install porcelein tile on the floor and believe this will work just as well. It's sort of a "spa" element in the room.
Definitely recommend.

Terrifc, durable, easy to maintain....
I bought one of these about 6 years ago, and just love it! It has weathered beautifully and is very attractive. I just ordered two more.
They are a very attractive flooring, I just sponge off and vaccum under - NO washing machine weekly chore! And after moving to Santa Fe -- a very water conserving city -- I realized this was the best idea to any other bathroom "rug".

Beautiful mat
We bought this for our front door, didn't even realize it was being marketed for the bathroom. We live in So Cal, and the mat is under an overhang. It doesn't absorb moisture, obviously, but it catches some dirt off of shoes and makes a lovely statement.

Wooden Lattice Mat
This is a wonderful mat - I have two in bath. They do spot flooring but it wipes up with a magic eraser.
Bathroom looks really sleek and spa like. We love them. I have recommended this mat to others and
everyone loves it.

I really, really like these....
I bought two Lattice Wooden Mats in 2006 and absolutely loved them. I recently threw them away because they seemed dull and I wanted to change things up a bit. I thought I would not have a problem finding something similar. I have not found a replacement and will be purchasing more of these. I have not found anything that compares.
The color fades as a user suggest but they never stained my tile floors.

Beautiful mat, and feels nice on bare feet
We haven't had problems with color bleeding like two other reviewers mentioned. Our mat does slip a little but not enough that we had to put anything under it. We have linoleum, not a tile floor.
We've been using it for a year and it still looks great. We enhanced the color by oiling the wood with mineral oil when it started to look dried out.
If you have cats that love to scratch on wood, they might view this as a new scratch pad. Our cats put their claws on the wood mat and stretch out, as if they are thinking about scratching, but they know better. :)

Great Mat!
Really great mat! Looks beautiful on the floor and adds a natural touch. Does slip over my tiles so have had to put little rubber dots on the underside, but no big deal. The mat is made extremely stiff/tight so it only lays flat and you cannot fold it or hang it over a towel rod without risking breaking it. Just something to keep in mind. Beautiful piece and feels nice on your feet after a shower. Great for bringing a natural look into your bathroom.

The mat stains
This is not just the one you bought. All of these mats leave stains on your floor. I bought two of these for my bathroom approximately 3 years ago. I love the look and feel of them, but they have permanently stained my vinyl floor. Also, after you walk off of them with wet feet brown water trails around your house. Like I said, I have had them for 3 years and they still do this (and I have washed them in the tub and hosed them off several times). I put towels underneath them to keep the color from bleeding onto the floor. I have a friend with the same one and it stained her ceramic tile and grout. I think that a bath mat should be able to get wet.... since it is a bath mat.

I like it, BUT
I love the concept, and perhaps it is just "the one" we purchased, but when we step on it with wet feet from shower or bath, we leave a trail of brown foot prints all over the bathroom. The mop has to come out just after it gets wet, otherwise the stain dries under the mat as well. If this is a natural color, why is the stain coming off and making a mess?

Beautiful!
Love this mat! The wood tones are rich and lovely. It is constructed very well and does not slide around on my bathroom floor - doesn't even need anything rubbery underneath it. I'm in the process of redecorating this bathroom with a spa/natural theme and this works perfectly. One surprise is that it's pretty tightly constructed, so it doesn't roll up - it came in a long, flat box. I think the wood tones will get even richer over time.
