We've romanced a classic bombe shape with a cleaner, contemporary aesthetic. Sensuous curves from every angle are enhanced with warm caramel undertones in the slightly distressed charcoal finish. Three generous drawers are lined with hand-silkscreened paper in a black-on-cream vine pattern and finished with brushed nickel pulls.

Best furniture purchase
Absolutely love this! Wish I had bought it sooner. Using it in my dining room to store linens, candles, etc. But it can easily be moved to living room, hallway or bedroom and work perfectly there as well. Well made, solid piece with excellent lines and style that complements other furniture because it is so classic.

Bombe Chest (A+)
We purchased the Avery Bombe chest after searching high and low for an entry way piece of furniture. We could not find anything item as nice and elegant as the Avery Bombe chest. We get complemented all the time on the piece. We love it and know it will last a very long time.

Gorgeous!
The bombe chest is gorgeous! The chest is well made and looks beautiful in my bedroom. I couldn't be happier with my purchase -- Crate and Barrel products are wonderful and I especially appreciate their great customer service. The delivery was flawless!

It's okay
It is a beautiful looking and I love it in my bedroom. However, it is not constructed that well. The wood is soft and damages easily. The knobs are not that secure . I love the look, but expected more for the price.

I'll have this chest for a long time!
I purchased this chest several years ago and have since moved apartments and was really tight on space in the new place.
It turns out, this chest looks adorable at the foot of my queen bed. I have a headboard in only and use this as the "foot board". It's proven itself to be a very versatile piece.

unique piece
high price point for a bedside table but 2 of these by a large queen or king size bed really pop and are a unique twist to otherwise small and relatively non-functional bedside tables. Ample storage, stylish, easy to clean. Soft finish that scratches easily.

Beautiful Piece!
This chest is gorgeous. It has really change the look of the room with the soft curves and elegant finish. I am glad I measured beforehand to make sure it fit the space as the picture on the website makes it seem smaller than it is. This is a piece of furniture I will love for a long time.

Beautiful!!!
I purchased two of these to go next to the Canopy Bed as bedside table. They are perfect, well-made. They are the perfect height and color for the bed. The delivery was flawless and the people personable and professional - they arrived on time!! I would recommend this chest highly.

Awesome!
I had eyed this chest for so long, I finally bought it! It is everything I hoped it would be. It is a perfect size. I had a limited amount of room, & it fit perfectly. It is sharp, & elegant, a very handsome piece. Then you open it, & you get that little surpise of that beautiful interior. I smile everytime I lay eyes on it. Thank you!

Lovely Chest
I actually purchase one of these for my entryway and loved it so much that I purchased another one, and am using them as end tables in my living room. They hold a lot of stuff, and the finish is absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend to anyone to get glass custom-cut for the top to protect it from scratches, as trust me when I say this is a piece that you're going to want to keep forever. The inside of the drawers are gorgeous.

beautiful piece of furniture
This chest is both striking and elegant. High quality materials and extremely well crafted. Looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture. I love the gorgeous lining in the drawers and it adds a special touch to the overall design. Very happy with this purchase!

Buy this while it lasts
This is such an unusual piece for a mass-market furniture producer, and I think it looks much more expensive than it is. The curves are just right. I used it in an entryway, paired with the Carbon rug (c&b), a lucite Louis Ghost chair, and a crystal table lamp. The pairing is modern and chic.
Don't expect a family heirloom at this price, but if you play up the contemporary interpretation this chest is fantastic!

Simply gorgeous
It is a stunning chest. We love it. The material quality and design are excellent. It is exactly what you see on the website. The drawers have a beautiful decorative paper inside, very classic.
This chest is in my living room and everyone that comes and visit compliments this piece of furniture.

great bedside dresser too
I had my eye on the Avery Bombe Chest when we moved a few years ago...thought it would make a terrific bedside chest. As soon as it went on sale, my husband bought it for me as a birthday present. It comes fully assembled and has large beautifully lined drawers. Tip: the Avery Bombe comes with black knobs. To give it a little bling (a la Candice Olsen of HGTV), I purchased 6 glass and brass knobs from a local store ... on sale for less than $3 each. So for about $18, I gave this already beautiful chest a new look that catches the light in my bedroom!

Fantastic chest!
The distinctive curves of this chest add charm and elegance to the room. We love the deep, rich exterior stain and the interior pattern in the drawers. You do have to be careful not to allow objects to scratch the delicate surface - but this is as much a work of art as it is a chest for clothing, linens, etc.

Great style and function
Price is a little high, but the XL drawers with the beautiful paper inside are worth it. The finish is a little delicate, so be careful with banging it up, and with what cleaning product you use. I used it in an entry way in my office - it gives the entry great style!

wonderful character
I spent a lot of time searching the furniture market for a chest for my kitchen nook. After lots of searching, I believe this is a perfect piece. The sheen on the black finish is just right; not too shiny and not too dull. There is some minor brown antiquing on the piece that is just enough to add a little character, but not enough to take away from the wonderful black finish. The curves on the Avery Bombe chest are elegant.

Haute style, and functional
Gorgeous, sophisticated, and just enough flare that it can become the focal point of the room.
I use this piece in my bedroom and it really adds a degree of sophistication (even though I have a very plain Zen metal bed frame). I was concerned that it may not adequately hold all of my things but it does hold all of my lingerie and undergarments. I've contemplated getting two to give a French Inn look.
The wood is soft so it can be scratched it you're rough with it. Also my piece looks nearly all espresso/black, so much of that rubbed brown doesn't come through. This is also lovely enough for your entry or to function as a linen console and the lines are clean enough to fit with any decor. How you dress the piece will really make a difference in how it works in your space.

Nice piece
Solid and well made furniture. Size is perfect for entryway and the drawers are good for storing winter clothing or those items that never know where to go. The color is rich and it looks great with the rest of my room.
