Beautiful But How Do We Care for It?
We purchased the table for my boss' new office. It is beautiful but the care instructions are worthless. They discuss what not to use on the table but no suggestions on how to keep the wood in good condition.

Looks great
I bought this coffee table after going over all the other tables in the store. I wanted a nice warm wood table that was the proper height to match my sofa. I just received this table today and it is perfect. It is just the right size for my living room - its not too large or too heavy to be moved if need be.

Gorgeous table.
This table looks WONDERFUL in my apartment. I love the color and the lines. I don't have the streak issue that several others seem to have had, but even so it seems an easy enough fix (though it seems like Crate & Barrel should provide the steel wool since it seems to be a consistent problem). My table does have a couple of small cracks in the wood that I'm concerned about, but I love the look and feel of the table so much that I don't want to return it.

Good table for the price
I did not have the problem as previous reviewers with the finish. Mine came streak free and perfect. Table is beautiful and the perfect size for my sectional.

Makes an Ultra-Cool Retro Statement
Coffee table was delivered in great shape. I have not experienced the problems mentioned by other reviews with the matte finish on the table top.
This table is the focal point of our living room area. The walnut finish and ultra-cool retro look draws your eye to the room as you enter. Our area rug and sofa (C&B Vaughan Apartment Sofa) are neutral and the Bel-Air Coffee Table "anchors" the room.
Fabulous purchase!

yuck
This table was delivered and unfortunately, I have the same problems other reviewers experienced with the top (streaks, smudges and where the wood was pressed together you can not only see it, but also feel it). Pretty dissapointing as the design and scale works well. I will be returning it and am not confident they can provide one that is not defective. Their delivery seervice leaves a little to be desired but whose doesn't I suppose.

Problems with finish
I had a similar experience as one of the other reviewers. We returned 3 tables (!) before settling on one that was just OK in terms of the finish. The top on all of the tables looked very dull and marred with noticeable streaks, and a couple also had hairline cracks along seams in the wood. Because we really like the shape/design of the table, we decided to keep the last one and to have the top refinished. The stripped wood is much lighter than the dark, heavy walnut finish (which contrary to the product description is not "warm" at all) and has a lot of variation in the grain/streaks of the wood, so our finished table top will look quite different. We're hopeful the added expense will be worthwhile...just picking up the final version at the shop tomorrow.

Quality of the Matte Finish
Unfortunately, we received this table and immediately noticed that the matte finish was extremely streaked. The finish looked damaged as if someone has taken a harsh abrasive cleaner to it and wiped it down. The streaks were very noticeable. We called Crate & Barrel and they immediately scheduled delivery of a new table ensuring us that this was indeed not the way the finish was supposed to look. Well, we received our new table today, and it looks as bad as the first, if not worse. The finish is streaked and so noticeable in the light that we just can't keep the table, which is a shame because we LOVE the style. I just can't understand why they would produce a table with a finish that looks damaged. Has anyone else that owns this table notice the harsh streaking on the finish? I have to say that Crate & Barrel Customer Service has been excellent from start to finish (no pun intended), and we've always loved everything we have ordered from them, and they handled the return excellent. But still bums me out that there isn't a better quality finish on this table.

Pulls Room Together
The scale of this table makes it easy to reach from my sofa, chair and ottoman. It makes the room feel inviting and comfortable. It is also big enough to spread papers, artwork and reading materials out on. I also like to use it to draw on (with something protecting the surface) while sitting on floor pillows. It is a nice "gathering" piece. One of the few purchashes that I haven't had to second-guess!

Solid purchase!
This table is a keeper! The quality, design, and craftsmanship are outstanding! It is sure to last for decades and become an heirloom piece. Using mixed media is genius as the bronzed legs provide a stable support for the solid wood table top. Brilliant!

Classic accent table...
I ordered the Bel-Air Coffee table and received it last week. It is a great addition to my living room which is classic-contemporary in style. The base of the table goes well with the walnut top. It is also stable and sturdy.
