Kipling Grey Wash Extension Dining Table is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Ten days after receiving the table five out of the six chair seats developed large cracks, one of the table legs began to split, and the table top sides were developing cracks. The table is very nice looking but not of sufficient quality to be worth it. I do not recommend this table and chairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gorgeous but Poorly Made I was incredibly happy with my purchase. The table is beutiful, the grey wash is elegant, and it looked very sturdy. I have only had it for 10 months, with very little use and it has a crack and the wood has stared to warp on the top and is uneven. Be aware of the return/refund policy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from great style, poor wood choice My husband and I looked high and low for the perfect farmstyle table for our new house. We LOVED this one and the chairs were very comfortable too. 1 chair arrived cracked, this was replaced without issue. Within 3 months of arrival our new dining set, multiple cracks appeared; deep cracks in the legs and also in the table top. It seems this tropical wood is prone to cracking, we wish this table style came in hardwood instead of tropical. Even though this dining set did not live up to our expectations, Crate & Barrel has provided excellent customer service to rectify the situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Table! My wife and I both love this table (it was one of our simplest buying decisions). The washed finish (looks just like the picture) and solid construction tie in perfectly with the hard wood floors and brick fireplace in our smallish dinning area. It's a perfect day-to-day table with 4-6 chairs around it, and great for the holidays with the leaf and a few more chairs added. If you have a large dinning area, you may find the table a bit narrow, but for our space it's perfect! Also, we had to wait about a month for the table (the wait was worth it).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from so disappointed Was so excited to have this table in my home after it was delivered, but I have had to exchange it four times -  twice for peeling and twice for a huge split in the leg. Although Crate and Barrel was great about EXCHANGES, for the money spent, it is not worth the headache and frustration. Don't know what to do now. Wonder if Crate and Barrel will allow a return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend it love it, perfect size for our new home. Finish is exactly as shown. Only probelm was that it was back ordered for 2 months, which no one told us about, so we received the hutch, and had no table for 8 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Perfect We purchased the kipling extension table, buffet, and buffet/hutch for our dining room. It is the one thing people always ask about when they visit. We did wait a significant amount of time for the table (at least 3 months). However, customer service was very helpful and once it arrived we knew it was worth waiting for! I recommend the gray wash since it looks unique and it doesn't show nicks and scratches as much as the dark version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVELY! The Kipling grey extension table was the perfect choice for a client's new home with a large kitchen and great room extension. The color is a greyish brown, which goes beautifully with both today's popular grey tones as well as the warm hues that a lot of people still have and love.Paired this with both the Kipling grey chairs and with two off white slip-covered chairs for each end...stunning!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment Although the table looks great at time of delivery, the "solid" wood began bubbling on the table surface and the space on either side of the leaf has warped to a 1/4" gap. Having to put a table cloth to prevent food falling through defeats the purpose of the table.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish I loved this more than I do ... We purchased the extension table, four side chairs and three counter-height stools (which were previously available) just about a year ago. The style and neutral wash were perfect for our new home. The first table delivered to us had a split in the wood of one of the legs, but Crate & Barrel promptly replaced it. The replacement table has no splits in the wood, but the wood has always seemed somewhat soft. It scratches rather easily and tends to show impressions from things like a child's booster seat. Also, the grey wash on the tabletop has almost all but disappeared. We gently clean this table with a soft cloth dampened only with water; however, the stain on the tabletop has completing lifted in some spots and everywhere else is now more of an amber/honey tone instead of the grey wash. I have been noticing this for a few months, but the wearing away of the grey wash was made extremely apparent when I recently put the extension leaf in the table. We use the leaf only on rare occasions when we need additional seating, so it has maintained the original grey wash. Now, the leaf sticks out like a sore thumb in between the two sides of the tabletop that have lost the grey wash. With the leaf in, it looks like we have a giant grey wash stripe in the center of our table. The chairs and stools are still holding strong, though there have been a few times when we've heard a loud cracking/popping sound when sitting down. It sounds as if something has surely split, but we can't see any visible damage. I don't know that I wouldn't purchase this again, but the issues I mentioned above (especially the wearing away of the grey wash on the tabletop) are certainly things I wish I would have known prior to investing in this set.
