Exactly as the name Implies!
I had my eye on the Oasis sofa for several months. I'd see it in the showroom, beautiful and inviting, and several times as my husband and I pondered over which dining room table to buy, and what color pillows went best with our living room, we'd sit on the Oasis sofa, and I'd revel in its' splendour! The sturdy yet soft linen fabric, the down wrapped foam cushions, and the depth, oh the sweet depth! That is truly what sets this line apart from all other sofas. The only problem was, that we had just purchased a sofa, (the Axis leather sofa) only 6 months ago! But it didn't stop me from wanting this sofa, in a very bad way!!! As time went by, I decided to redecorate my den, and finally came upon the realization that I was in need of a VERY comfy chair for myself. It suddenly hit me that the Oasis chair could be exactly what I needed!
My saleswoman at my local Crate and Barrel store was SO helpful in assisting me with selecting the perfect color to go with my den, and that fit in with my lifestyle! I have dogs, and their hair tends to stick to everything. While that is a given, I prefer leather (the hair wipes right off) but sometimes crave fabric instead. I chose "Earth" as it was a gorgeous muted brown, and would show the least amount of hair and stains, should they happen. I was also very in love with the fact that I could remove the slipcovers and dry clean them when the need arose! I also decided that the ottoman would make a great addition to the chair. So I purchased both! The chair and ottoman came, and I was thrilled with them! They look glorious in the den, and I couldn't wait to start enjoying! I had carpal tunnel release surgery about a week after the chair came, and this chair truly was an Oasis for me during my recovery! I ate, rested, watched TV, read, and slept all night long in this chair without ever regretting not going upstairs to my bed! To say I was pleased is an understatement! My daughter had bi-lateral foot surgery just yesterday, and as I write, she is comfortably sleeping in the den, in the Oasis chair with her feet elevated on the ottoman. My sweet girl said, "Sorry I took your chair, Mommy." I am usually very pleased with everything I've bought at Crate & Barrel, but this is one of the top items! I know this chair will be a 'hot spot' for years to come! And though my little poodle thinks the ottoman is her personal dog bed, I am VERY happy with my Oasis! As for the other reason I shop regularly at Crate & Barrel, the unparalleled customer service, well that will always truly be the number one reason. It's not to say I don't like furniture from other stores, but no one treats you the way they do. I must have 15 or so large pieces of C&B furniture in my home, and while there has been a problem or two here and there, I have ALWAYS been treated fairly, with respect, and have had any issue resolved to my satisfaction. This chair is my personal Oasis.

Love it!
We bought this along with the sofa and ottoman. We love them all. This chair is big and cozy for two and very nice to lounge in. I love the fabric too.

Love this chair
I've had the Oasis Chair and Ottoman for a little over a month now. The lines are exactly what I wanted-- classic with a modern edge--and it is crazy comfortable. It is proving to be very durable and easy to clean, even with three dogs in the house. Though I ordered it in the Stock Plus color Linen and expected a long wait, I got it almost a month earlier than the estimates. Great find and would highly recommend to anyone.

the perfect reading chair!
For years I have been on a search for a perfect reading chair that is also beautiful for a bedroom, which is where I prefer to read. The Oasis chair and ottoman allows me to put my feet up and sink into a lovely roomy 'reading nest' ... I have embellished it with a soft throw blanket and colorful pillow, a small low table for a drink and if necessary - a reading lamp.

Surpasses Expectations
This sofa and chair are fantastic! We've had them for two months now and the quality is excellent. The linen slipcovers are completely hassle-free; I've washed them once already with no problem. Guests always comment on the clean, relaxed and modern style of the slipcovers. The comfort and depth are perfect - the only thing to note is they're a bit lower compared to some other sofas & chairs but perfectly comfortable. We couldn't be happier!
