Very modern leather recliner. Comfortable in both positions. It easily reclines back by leaning backward, and there is no tacky lever on the side so it looks like a normal chair when not in the reclining position. Highly recommend!

NOT ON CARPET
I bought this gorgeuos chair roughly a year ago. It looks great, is comfy and my husband loves it. However, we just moved it for cleaning and found out that it RUINED our carpet. From raising and lowering the recliner the unfinished levers on the bottom sliced right through our brand new carpet and the pad. Don't buy this chair for a carpeted room and make sure you protect your hard wood flooring. Crate and Barrel needs to redesign this.

Wonderful chair
We purchase a pair of streeter recliners in chestnut. The chairs are very comfortable and look fabulous. One of the recliners had to be returned because of a faulty footrest mechanism that kept it from extending all the way. The company provided a replacement (although in a different material) for the 4-6 weeks that the chair would be gone.
