A Great Buy
My husband and I got this sofa for our wedding and it has held up wonderfully over the years (through a move)! It's not a very cozy, curl-up-and-watch-TV kind of couch, but it is easy to clean, the cushions keep their shape and we love the classic, clean lines and go-with-every-room color. I'd recommend it for any home.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money on this sofa. It's not C&B standard.........I have owned it for just over a year, and I am out shopping for a new one already. It's completly falling apart.....sagging cushions, material is not wearing very well, loosing it's color.......it was a nice choclate brown, not anymore.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. It is amazing how one product can ruin your experience with Crate & Barrel. This one purchase has been a huge disappointment despite loving everything else we have, well expect for cheap rusting silverware...but that is a separate story. Anyway, you can tell from the other reviews, well and now this one, that the cushions fall apart. Even after replacement cushions, the new ones were already looking horrible after about 1 month. Definitely pick a different sofa - another Crate & Barrel one :)

Hennessey sofa
I have this item in the Devin Topaz. If you have children this is an excellent color choice to go with. However this piece isn't meant for watching tv and lounging. This is what I purchased it for. I wish I would have bought The city. But it is a really cute clean lines sofa. And really comfortable although it isnt meant for lounging. Because the cushions start to sag.

Poor Quality
We have owned this sofa for 5 months and hate it. The sofa moves every time you sit down/stand up and is creaks! The cushions have already sagged. I don't think this is going to last us very long. It is a very poor quality and I hesiste to buy furniture from C&B again. I wish I would have kept looking

Disappointed
I've owned this sofa for about 8 months, and am not happy with it. The 2 bottom cushions are still too firm and are awkward- they never sit evenly on the sofa. I've been flipping them weekly as suggested, but they haven't improved much. I do like the fabric- it seemed stiff at first, but has softened, and it has a nice sheen to it. I suggest sitting on this for a good while in the store to see how it really feels.

Nice couch!
Pros:
1. Beautiful and Modern
2. Good construction (this note came from someone familiar with furniture construction)
3. Narrow arms = more seating area
4. Unique - unlikely to see this at your neighbor’s house
5. No pillows so we can change up the look and “customize” our couch.
6. Nice fabric – Topaz is lighter than we anticipated, but very pretty!!
7. Price – for this quality and design, we thought the price was quite reasonable
8. Service
9. Stain guard optional (we did it and are glad we did – luckily, we haven’t tested it out yet)
Cons:
1. Not available in stores near us – couldn’t see it first (note: we still would have purchased had we seen the couch in advance – very nice couch!!)
2. Fabric wrinkles after getting up – they mostly go away, but not sure how this will hold up over time.
3. Couch does creek a little when sitting down but not very loud – we also have it on hardwoods, which might not be helping.
4. Took a few months to get it – they didn’t have any pre-made in Topaz.

Piece of garbage
Don't waste your money on this thing. It sags, creaks, cracks so loud. I purchased it less than a year ago and this thing can be heard from next door when you sit in it or get up, that's how loud it is.
There is absolutely no back support and no bottom support. I have sent in a complaint to C&B lets see what they do about it.

Wonderful sofa
My entire experience with this purchase was fabulous. The customer service could not have been better (including the delivery people!) I ordered the sofa in a custom fabric, it came much earlier than expected and the friendly updates and communication from the staff were excellent. Love the sofa, love Crate and Barrel!

great shape
I love the simple shape and bought both the sofa and the chair. The fabric is beautiful and soft. I wish that it came with some extra fabric to make covers for the arms as is suggested in the paperwork- the only problem with a two cushion design is that if people are on each end, the middle sort of pops up- but it is hardly an issue just an observation as I always had a three cushion couch. I have had the pieces for less than a month and find them both very comfortable.

Uncomfortable
Very nice looking sofa, and seemingly well made. But... very uncomfortable. After about 15 minutes both me and my husband were so uncomfortable that we couldn't sit in it any longer and had to send it back. Try it out in the store for a good while before you buy.

Beautiful sofa with great value
After much debate between topaz and tomato colors, I finally bought Hennesy sofa, matching chair and ottoman in topaz and absolutely love them. Great color, materials, and design. Nothing to complain. They are simple, yet add great spice to my family room. I am thinking of purchasing a chair and ottoman in tomato for my bedroom.
One thing I have to add is if you have a room with dark colored wall, you have to be aware that this sofa will make the room even darker and you'll need some accent pillows/throws or other decorative items. Othewise, sofa in tomato might be a better option.

Great Sofa
Fits perfectly in my compact space, though I'd probably opt for a larger (deeper) sofa if my space permitted. But, this is perfect for me, very comfortable. I would buy it agian...

Really like my tomato sofa
I am totally happy with my Hennessy sofa, love how comfortable it is and the modern lines. I matched it with an area rug shown in the catalog and couldn't be happier.

Great sofa
First sofa purchase in years. Went bold with "tomato" and loving the style (simple and modern conservative design), striking color, comfy to lay back with a book, just the right size for a smaller room. And the price was great, friendly customer service and delivery at promised time.

great look, not as comfy as hoped
My husband and I purchased this sofa about a year ago. We like the design, especially the modern yet classic leg design, and that its compact size fits our small living room. We chose the dark brown color, and have been pleased with how well it hides spills and other marks made by youngsters.
It took about 2 months for the sofa to "break in" and we actually thought about returning it. At first, it sat very stiff and I almost felt like I would slide off the cushions onto the floor. We've flipped the cushions several times and are now pleased with the way it sits.
Also, I must say that I truly miss my extremely large and comfortable, pillow-top sofa (purchased from another store) since this sofa is too small for 2 adults to lay down. If your space permits a larger sofa, this one is probably not for you!

Beautiful Sofa
I loved seeing this sofa on the showroom floor and wanted to buy it in it's original Tomato glory but eventually decided on the more modest Topaz color for it's versatility. After an absurdly long wait for what is essentially a brown sofa, I was happy to have the delivery guys arrive at my house.
I love the clean lines of the sofa and it is very well made. My only criticism is the seat cushions. They tend to smash down very easily right in the middle where they meet. This problem is easily fixed with frequent turning but who wants to flip the sofa cushions at least once per day? Not me! If you are looking at buying this I would recommend taking a look at the Camden sofa. It has a very similar look without the seat cushions.
