Apartment size sofa
With a narrow stairwell in our home an apartment sized sofa was a must. It is spacious and looks great in the space. The only down side is the back cushions don't hold up as well as I would like.

Yukon (stock plus) color is gorgeous!
I bought this sofa as a warehouse sample and assumed I was getting the stock color. I really wanted a charcoal grey sofa, but for the sample price I was going to be happy with the cream one. Imagine my excitement when the sofa that showed up was the Yukon color. It's a beautiful cool charcoal grey. In C&B's defense, they never confirmed what color the sample sofa was...I just assumed it would be the stock color as that's what color the sample in store was. This was a welcome surprise!
The fabric is a little scratchy, but it's a fine trade-off for how great the color is. This is a great color if you have a dog!

LOVE the Vaughn!
had to replace 2 matching sofas that suffered water damage from the business upstairs from mine, and picked 2 Vaughn sofas for soundness/quality of construction as well as great looks. My clients spend several hours at a stretch camped out on them, and they have held up beautifully. All I do is reverse the back support cushions when they look compressed, and they fluff right back into shape. There's a bit of down fill in them - keeps them just cushy enough without losing their shape - love them!

Perfect Compliment
We purchased this sofa for a second home in Florida. It's the perfect fabric and color (we went with stock as shown); neutral but with slight coloration of brown/taupe. It's a great size and very comfortable. I would say the only disappointment is the cushion backs that might sag over time due to the nature of the down fill...which also makes them comfortable. Loved it so much, we also purchased two ottomans to double as coffee table/footrests. Perfect!

Great sofa
Great sofa. We chose the pebble color, and it really pulls our living room together. It is very comfortable. I was very picky and did not want a couch that was too deep or too soft. I would recommend this couch to friends.

Simple style, good lines
Ordered two Vaughan Apartment Sofas to update our living room. They have great "bones" - a simple, clean line and good proportions. Not too deep so you don't feel like you're falling back in the sofa or need a bunch of throw pillows for support. We had trouble with the first ones The back cushions were dented (where strapping held them in place in storage) and the foam never completely rebounded. Crate and Barrel made an easy and gracious exchange. Delivery people were outstanding.

Looks great and comfortable
I love the Vaughn Apartment Sofa. It's very pretty yet functional. It fits great in my space too. I custom covered mine and it wasn't all that much more expensive.

Might as well be 10 years old
We had been looking for a sofa for many years. I was always weary of CB and PB sofas because of other reviews talking about bad cushions, etc., but we just couldn't stand our old worn out sofa anymore and wanted a modern design, and bought the Vaughn. I give it 5 stars for design, very mid-century, very cool. 2 stars for the cushions. Talk about high maintenance. The moment you get up from sitting, the cushion fabric is all saggy and wrinkled and you have to hit the cushions to fluff them up. Before you fluff them, they look like old worn out cushions many years old. Our old sofa, despite the worn-out upholstery, looked great and the fabric taut after about 25 years of wear (I inherited from parents.) Why can't new sofas look as good? I guess you have to pay a few grand. Really, to have to hit the cushions and constantly rotate them is ridiculous. Is this because of the foam/feather stuffing? Isn't there another material that could be used so that the sofa looks great all the time? I guessed we would be ultimately disappointed, but figured we needed a new sofa, and we'll just have to get the cushions re-stuffed ourselves with something else when we just can't stand the maintenance anymore.

Comfy and Cute
I started looking for a sofa that needed to fit three specific needs: 1) be comfortable to sleep on, as my best friend frequently travels in from out of town and stays with me; 2) not overwhelm my reasonably small apartment; and 3) appear to be both attractive and neutral -- which proved hard to find. This product has proven to be attractive, easy to clean, it fits my space, and most importantly, it is fantastically comfortable to sleep on. There have been at least a dozen times in the last six months when I've chosen to sleep on my couch, even though my bed is maybe 12 ft away. I'd highly recommend this product, and personally I hope to keep it for a long time to come.

Beautiful couch, with a frame that "cracks"
We purchased the Vaughn Apartment sofa in the stock color. On the day it was delivered it made a loud cracking sound when we sat on the sofa. The cracking sound continued for several weeks intermittently, so we called C&B and they agreed to replace the sofa. Our experience with customer service was extremely positive. The new sofa, unfortunately makes the same loud cracking sound. We love the look and feel of the sofa and it's just the right size for the space we have. However, we have concerns about the quality of the frame. We really like our new couch and just hope it lasts!

Clean lines, great look!
I bought this sofa for my smallish living room as a first step to transform it into a more sophisticated room. I am extremely pleased. The clean lines have a modern, sophisticated look but it is also very comfortable. Its smaller than a 'traditional' sofa, so it fits well in my smaller room, but there is still alot of sitting space b/c of the small arms, so you don't sacrifice on the seating. And the color is great.

Beautiful sofa with a few minor flaws
I have this sofa in the stock color. The fabric is absolutely wonderful. It feels very nice to the touch and it's also durable. The sofa itself is beautiful. The design is sleek and modern with a taste of traditional. I like how low it sits. I live in a medium sized loft and I find this sofa to fit my space perfectly. A few things I am not crazy about: the back cushions. They are a little flimsy and tend to warp around me when I sit back on the sofa. The cushion also moves around in the case and I have to adjust them often. I also wish the sofa were a bit longer. Yes, I do realize it is an apartment sofa and I love it for my space. I'm 6 feet tall, so I find it's a little too short for me. That is no fault of C&B or the sofa, but more or less something that I didn't think would bother me, but has slightly. Either way, it's a very comfortable sofa and I am pleased with it.

Comfortable and Compact
Perfect sofa for small(er) space living ... condos, apartments and the like. New to highrise living we were in need of a compact, comfortable and low-profile sofa that would not block or impede our fabulous view ... this fits the bill perfectly.
We have it in the amalfi cream fabric and its light neutral color allows for the colorful decorative pillows and other elements in the room to make a statement and serves as a fabulous backdrop.
Glad we made this purchase.

The perfect conversation seeting
We really wanted two sofas facing each other, but most were too big for our long but narrow living room. the apartment sofa was perfect and they look great facing each other. They are super comfy and a great napping spot

Great sofa for small space!
This sofa is a great size for a smaller space. The clean lines and tidy design look great and it is very comfortable. I wasn't sure I would love the fabric, but it really is quite nice. My dog has been on and off the sofa with her toys and bones and the upholstery is holding up well. Super happy with this purchase!

Very smart compact
We have purchased the Vaughn Sofa as well as two Vaughn armchairs. They look extremely smart and compact. The back is low which is great in an apartment where maximising space and light is important. It is quite deep, so for those with short legs (like myself) a lot of throw pillows are needed for support and comfort. The sofa is longer than most I have experienced, so great for lying down to read on, your legs will have plenty of room! The fabric feels and looks very luxurious. It is important to keep flipping the cushions every 2 weeks though, as they do sag where you sit and do not bounce back up very quickly after you get up. The back cushions seems a little thin and flimsy too, hard to "plump up". If there was something that could be improved it would be the quality and resistance of the cushions. But in all I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it as it is a very comfortable sofa.

Love the sofa
I love my new Vaughn sofa and chair. Have been looking for the perfect sofa for about two years and finally found it. Extremely comfortable, stylish design, nice fabric and made in the US besides. Would definitely buy again. Very pleased with purchase.

Sleek Lines, Well Made
I purchased this sofa for a small studio and it fits well into the space. The fabric is durable but comfortable. The color is a good neutral as well. I find it hard to sit in to hang out and watch a movie though, but it does give a good amount of seating and is made well so there is good support. Those with back problems might not like the hardness of the seating. I would recommend it for anyone looking for reasonably priced seating for entertaining, with a modern look that would fit into any decor. In the future I would prefer something with more comfort.
