My herbs stayed fresh for 2 weeks
What a great kitchen gadget....didn't think I actually needed another. But I often buy a large bunch of herbs and usually end up throwing them away. My cilantro stayed fresh for almost 2 weeks. I love that it rests in the little feet inside so you can cut without water getting all over.

Not a keeper
I registered for this and thought it would be a great way to keep my herbs longer. It is difficult to put very many herbs inside the removable insert and I have a hard time finding a good place in the refrigerator to store it; not as functional as I thought it would be.

Great product
I received this as a gift. I doubt I would have bought it for myself because why do I need another gadget. I just love it! To keeps parsley and cilantro so fresh for a very long time which saves me from always buying more.

Truly does save herbs for much longer than normally when just stored in produce drawer. I really love this product and it has helped reduce the grocery bill for fresh herbs!

leaks
I recieved it as a birthday gift,It was leaking, I went to the store and changed it for a new one. It was also leaking. Although the idea is good, the quality of the product is poor.

LEAKS!
I share similar problems with a lot of people leaving reviews. I was really bummed when I realized that the producted leaked. It was convenient to have in the door of my fridge, size seemed fine and the look of it was nice. But since I don't want to clean the water from my fridge daily, I had to stop using it.
But I have to say Crate and Barrel has the BEST customer service. Even though I didn't have a receipt since the item was a gift and I didn't keep the gift receipt since I wanted the item, they are sending me a store credit.

Herb Keeper - leaks
I should have listened to the others here. Got this for Christmas it just leaked all over the fridge. C&B nicely allowed us to exchange it for store credit. Going to use an old french press instead.
Loved the idea of the Herb Keeper, they just have some manufacturing defects to address.

Product LEAKS!
This would be a great product were it not for one little thing - it LEAKS! And not just one tiny drop every other day, I had to use multiple paper towels to clean up the mess in my fridge. I returned it thinking I just got a defective one, only to find that the replacement one did the same thing, but not quite as much. I returned that one too and got my money back as I wasn't going to go for "third time is a charm" with this product. For almost $20, this product should be much better built.

I ordered this item for a wedding gift (from a registry) and there was a large scratch in it, when it arrived. There was not sufficient time to ask for an exchange. :(

Keeps your herbs fresh
Can save you money - keeps your herbs fresh for a long time. However, it takes up a lot more room for the small amount of herbs it can hold.

love this product!
I love cooking with fresh herbs and try to keep them as fresh as possible for as long as I can. The herb keeper handles the job ably, keeping parsley, cilantro and other herbs fresh and upright. I also used it to revive limp celery, and it did the trick. It doesn't use a lot of space in the refrigerator and looks attractive while it's doing its job!

WISH I HAD GOTTEN SOONER
The use of fresh herbs are a must in preparing flavorful and unforgettable meals. Until now, I have had to purchase herbs nearly every 4-5 days due to spoilage. This convenient device makes it possible for me to purchase local herbs from the farmers' market and keeps the herbs fresh for nearly TWO weeks. AMAZING! It has also saved me money. Wish I had gotten it sooner!

Useful cost saver!

Keeps herbs fresh all week!
I get a bunch of herbs in my CSA basket every week, and C&B's herb keeper is great for keeping them fresh all week or longer.
The only problem I had at first is if you fill it above the MAX line, it seems to leak. I couldn't quite understand why, but it does, so stick to that line for water.
Other than that, it looks nice on the counter or works in the fridge as well, depending on what kind of herbs.

HUGE!
This is about the size of a 1/2 gal. container of milk

Takes up so much room in the fridge. Also, the basket for holding the herbs is quite small and I couldn't get a normal bunch of cilantro to fit.
I did a test of using a regular jar with some herbs in it with an inch of water in the bottom and also this herb keeper. Didn't last any longer in the herb keeper than the jar. Don't waste your money.

Design is imperfect... I still prefer a tall glass
When you've got a big bunch of parsley or cilantro, you will have to split it up and position it around the bar in the middle. It's hard to get the stems to all be in the water, and sometimes the canister isn't tall enough, so you have to snip the stems shorter.
It takes less space in the fridge to use a tall glass with some water and a clear plastic produce bag over the top. This canister takes up too much space in the fridge. If they made it square or rectangular, it would fit better. That plus somehow avoiding the middle bar would really help make this more useful.

Actually not big enough
I wondered if this would be any different than putting herbs in a glass of water in the fridge and it turns out it does keep herbs longer than just the glass of water. However, while the size seems huge, it barely fits a standard clump of cilantro from the grocery store. Also, it is hard to keep all of the stems in the water due to the bushiness of the herbs. I already bought it so I can't take it back, but I recommend just using a glass of water to store herbs.
