Very Cute!
I had been searching for a really long time for a cookie jar that I liked and this one was it! It is super cute and I had no problem with seal that others have spoken about.

favorite cookie jar
I make cookies for people a lot, and some of my cookie cutters are huge. I've never found a cookie jar that has a big enough opening for these cookies and still looks good. This one is awesome. The lid fits very tightly to help keep the cookies fresh; it doesn't scoot or jiggle like other cookie jar lids sometimes do. I don't care much for the words written on the side of the jar, but I like that they only put them on one side so I have the option of keeping the jar turned backwards so the plain side shows. It's PERFECT.

Buy From Store
I hesitated to buy this because of the previous reviews about it not sealing properly. I am lucky enough to live somewhat near a Crate and Barrel store so I decided that I would go in and check it out before I bought it. There were 4 of them on the shelf and two of them had a good seal. If you are able to go to the store and pick it out, I think you would be okay. If you have to order it online, you might be chancing it not having a good seal. Otherwise, it is a very cute and well made cookie jar.

Cute But..
I was so excited when I received this cookie jar only to be disappointed that the seal isn't tight enough to keep the cookies fresh. Such a shame because it is indeed adorable.

disappointed in seal
Order many things from Crate and Barrel and this is the first one that I am truly disappointed in. It was backordered several times, but we stuck to it b/c it looked so nice. And, indeed, it does look good, however there is not a very good seal on it. There is a rubber stopper, but it doesn't appear big enough for the jar. Nothing like putting your cookies inside a jar with no seal.....they will go stale so quickly. Very disappointed in this product.

Cute not functional
This was featured in Real Simple, and it is very cute so I purchased it. But it is totally non-functioning. It does not properly seal and cookies only stay fresh about one day. Since it is very appealing in the kitchen we decided to use it as a countertop junk container.

Beautiful Cookie Jar
Very pretty cookie jar. The reason for only 4 stars is because the seal could be better. It is a little snug, but certainly not tight. Thank goodness cookies never last long in my home. I'm not quite sure they would stay fresh if not eaten within a few days.

The PERFECT Cookie Jar
I love this cookie jar. The white is simple enough to blend with may types of decor. The raised lettering is such a nice touch. The item is well made, and the seal is tight. I was able to fit 2 dozen cookies in here perfectly. And you can't beat the price!
