Best Coffee Maker Ever!!!!
I love this coffee maker, makes quality coffee & espressos for a reasonable price. Also great addition to my kitchen decor.

good coffee, minor flaw
I love this coffee maker. We make coffee and espresso at the same time every morning, use the timer feature for coffee, all that is great. My only issue is that after two weeks the little tabs on the lid of the coffee pot broke, so now the lid doesn't stay on when you pour coffee, doesn't affect the quality of the coffee, but it seems flawed to me if any component breaks after such a short period of use.

Fabulous Machine!
This machine has saved me a fortune. It is very easy to use,easy to clean,makes the perfect espresso and the milk frother is fabulous!It has a very polished look and does not take up much counter space. The bonus is the full coffee pot right next to it!This machine is a great addition to every kitchen.

Not so happy
I bought this combination coffeemaker primarily for my 2 cups of latte each morning but to also have a 10 cup for rare occasions when I have guests. Are my expectations set too high? If I want to make enough expresso for 2 lattes (4 cups), I have to wait at least 15 minutes for the machine to cool to release the safety mechanism...one of us gets a cup immediately, the other has to wait. If I try to make the 4 cup expresso, the machine expels 2 cups(that's 1/2" of expresso), then loads of steam comes out along the front of the machine, making a mess. I've tried every possible grind to make 4 cups; it's doesn't work. Good luck if you buy this!

Great coffee maker; decent espresso maker
This machine makes great coffee. I've had it for about 4 months and use it almost every day to make my morning cup of joe. The "aroma" button on the coffee side allows you to use less grounds to get a nice dark cup of coffee. Saves me lots of money as I grind my own high quality beans. The instruction says not to use the aroma setting for more than 5 cups, but I've used it for up to 7 cups, as Iong as I don't interrupt and let it brew all the way so it doesn't over flow. The included gold tone filter does make a better cup because paper filters absorb the oils.
The espresso side is ok for cappucinos. It is steam driven, so you're not getting "true" espresso, but for cappucinos and coffee type drinks, it is fine. The milk nozzel is about 5 inches up from the bottom, so you can fit a good size cup underneath. For the price, it really can't be beat.
Also, it came with a water filtering pack, which said it needs to be changed every 100 brews. I haven't tried to locate a new one yet, but I believe they are available on line from another retailer.

Money Saver
I love this machine! It was a birthday gift I received right after my traditional coffee pot broke. I likely saved the purchase price in the first month by making my caramel macchiatos at home and skipping my daily coffee shop trip. It's a time saver too. I've been using it about 4 months and I love love love it. I also like the small footprint and versatility. It's quick, easy, and the coffee is delicious! Mmmmm. The replacement charcoal filters are easy to find which is important because the water is very hard where I live.

We love this thing!
This is a fantastic machine on all levels, especially at the sale price. We received it as a wedding gift and could not be happier with it! We feel so sophisticated drinking cappuccino, and the aroma setting on the coffee maker really does make a bolder flavored coffee!

Nice product
I am pleased so far with our purchase. I really like the size, it doesn't take up alot of counter space, and it looks impressive sitting on the counter. The functions are very easy to use. Brews coffee and espresso well for an affordable product.
My only negative at this point is that on the programmable timer, on our particular machine the time goes from 11:59 a,m, to 0 then to 1:00 p.m., I can't get 12:00 p.m. to display. I called DeLonghi direct and was to have heard from someone from the company, and it has been about 10 days and I still haven't recieved a call. It doesn't affect the use of the product, only maybe if we were trying to program the coffee to be brewed @ 12:00 p.m.. I guess I will have to follow up with DeLonghi myself, I would prefer better customer service than that. Otherwise we are enjoying the product barring any unforeseen issues.
I'm giving 4 stars only because of the programmable timer issue, and lack of follow up from DeLonghi.
