Good Idea!
I already had a knife block for the counter, but it was taking up to much space. I put my knives in a drawer, but without something to hold them in place, it was kinda scary. I purchased this knife dock, and was plesantly surprised that it fit into my drawer without taking up a lot of space. My only complaint, is that I have more larger knives, than smaller ones, and they all don't fit as well. Otherwise, I am pleased with it.

Keep your knives out of view
We were looking for a knife storage solution for our new house. We used to have the magnetic strip on the wall, but a) you can chip the blades that way and b)we didn't really have a spot big enough.
We also hate the giant knife block on the counter. They take up too much space, gather bacteria and are dangerous if you have kids around.
This in-drawer solution is perfect for us. We put two in a small drawer (they're narrow) and have slots to expand our knife collection!
The knives are easy to grab, easy to put back, and--most importantly, are out of sight!

Damaged Knives
I bought this to keep my super sharp knives safe and off the counter. It turns out that the wood rods that keep the slats together have ruined my very expensive knives. My Santoku knife has a sizable divet in the blade that I can't sharpen out!! Do not buy this for your nice knives.

perfect for drawers
Picked this out to get our Pampered Chef knives off the countertop. Nice fit for this purpose.

No more sliced fingers!
Love this item. I have a fetish about things on my counter and after years of my knives loose in a small drawer, this product was a godsend. It keeps my often used knives organized and makes it easy to quickly grab the knife I need without fear of cutting myself.

Works great
This knife holder fits perfectly in my kitchen drawer away from the eyes of my kids and husband. No one is allowed to use mom's knives and the knives lay in it nicely.
