Love this salt cellar
My housekeeper broke the antique salt cellar I owned, so was so pleased to find this replica. It is perfect and replaced my old one. Love this product, I keep it full of sea salt ....Perfect size and look~Great value!!

Helpful!
I needed a salt keeper for my kosher salt (instead of pouring from that big box every time) and this fit the bill wonderfully! The glass itself has little "characteristics" that add some personality (such as air bubbles trapped inside the glass) and the base is a solid weight. The glass lid just kinda rests on top so I have to be careful when my fingers are not completely dry lest it ends up sliding across the floor. Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase!

Handy, Sturdy, Looks Nice
Bought this on a whim, and I'm glad I did. It's a great price for such a nice item. I haven't had any issues with the lid. Makes me a bit more conscious of the amount of salt I'm adding, and it's handy as can be. Being clear, it goes w/ any kind of decor.

Practical and Adorable
I registered for this salt cellar and am so glad i did! I'm a professional chef, so when i'm at home cooking I like to have everything close at hand and easy to grab (no tight fitting lids or gizmos that take two hands) just like on the job. To feel like I'm not still on the job, I like to keep my kitchen at home looking cute--this is the perfect form + function piece!

Great Salt Cellar
I received this as a wedding gift and it's a great cellar!
I personally love that the lid is not sealed, it makes for easy access when cooking.
As other reviewers mentioned, the "SALT" that is on the side of the dish is not as noticeable when filled, but I still love it.
I also wish it came in white, but the glass is great and fits in with my decor perfectly. Has a nice vintage feel.

Very Attractive
The salt cellar is perfect; just what I was looking for. I had originally been using a ramekin as a salt cellar, but I really wanted a lid for it. The cut facets make the glass shine extra bright. The lid just sits on top with a slight rim. It doesn't fit into the bottom jar. I'd also like to see it offered in white.

Just like the antique...
and that's what makes it so perfect. This little cellar is fabulous. The lid doesn't have a knob, the antique one didn't. I have it right by my stove to add sea salt whenever needed. I loved this so much, I bought one for my best friend who doesn't have access to a Crate and Barrel. She loves hers too!

Just can't keep the lid in my hands!
Looks great on my counter, works well, nice & heavy. My only issue is with the lid... It's heavy & simply sits on top of the cellar. The instant I opened the package to unwrap the cellar, the lid flew out & hit the floor. Fortunately, it's thick, durable glass, so it didn't break or chip. This is good news, as it has slid out of my hands numerous times since & still hasn't broken! I had been looking for a good salt cellar for a while & for the price, this is a great deal.

Cute and practical
I really like this salt cellar. I received it as a wedding gift and it has found its home next to the stove full of kosher salt for cooking pasta. It looks great in the kitchen, and is a nice weight for it's size.

Perfect!
I purchased two of these cellars - one for salt and one for pepper. They are perfect! They match any decor, have some nice weight to the bowl and the lid. The lid is easy on and off. The "salt" word on the side is very light, so it doesn't show well, but that makes if perfect for whatever you put in the bowl besides salt. I'm thinking about purchasing a third for the multi-purpose grill seasoning that I use.

This is the perfect salt cellar. I love the lid. It looks modern yet traditional at the same time. I feel it would work well in any kitchen decor. Anyway - I love it!

The perfect salt cellar
The salt cellars are amazing. Heavy, high-quality glass. Looks like something that was on my grandmother's stove when I was a child.
It's a generous size so your hand or measuring spoon can fit inside to grab a pinch or a teaspoon full of salt.
I purchased two, one for salt and one for pepper.
The lid doesn't seal, but that's good; a sealed lid requires two hands to open; this way you can keep one hand stirring the pot while the other hand easily grabs a pinch.
I loved them so much I gave two as a gift and got two more for myself.

Nice Size
This salt celler is a really nice size... you can pinch from it as well as pick it up and lightly sift over a large pot. (No strainer, just BE careful!) The SALT word doesn't really show up that well when full. I like that it is covered... we have critters in our home.

A pinch of salt
This little salt cellar is sooooo cute! It reminds me of the old antique cellar my Gramma had. It's the perfect size and weight. Very good quality. Like the others said though...careful with the lid!

Fun Product
I've been looking for a salt cellar of sorts forever. This one is fun and looks nice. The only negative is that the lid just sets on, no seal. Not the end of the world though. Just keep it away from the 3 year old when he wants to "cook".

Great Find!
I wanted a salt pig/cellar with a lid and this is perfect. The glass lid does not seal tightly, it works more like a cover lid and helps keep moisture out.
