Disappointed
With all the great reviews, I thought this would be great. Maybe I just got a bad egg but as soon as the water boiled the egg timer indicated the eggs were hard boiled. Plus it made the water smell real funny. I will say the return process was hassle-free.

Eggstatic about this Egg Timer
I bought this for my husband who makes hard boiled eggs a couple times a week. He loves it and says the color indicator works perfectly. His eggs have never been better. I highly recommend this.

Perfect eggs
I can't believe how well this works. I'm someone that thought she knew when the eggs would be done, but ended up 3/4 of the time disappointed. My husband bought this for me and I have made the perfect hard boiled eggs.

Can't live without this
This is the best thing EVER for anyone who loves soft boiled eggs. Seriously. I love this thing so much - I use them as stocking stuffers during the holidays. I used to overcook eggs all the time, but not anymore. It makes my favorite breakfast perfect every single time!

Excellent Egg Timer
I get the perfect egg every time. Before I had this egg timer I seem to over cook my eggs now I get them perfect. Even if I am cooking more than 1 egg it still gets it right.

Great gadget
You know how sometimes you can make the perfect boiled egg, and then you forget what combination of time and temperature you used? I like this little gadget because I don't have to remember those details. Just make sure you dunk the eggs in a cold water bath as soon as the indicator reaches your preferred level.

Wonderful gadget!
I am not really a gadget person, but this very small item is a must in the kitchen if you like eggs of all kinds! It "knows" when your egg is perfectly soft boiled, or hard, or medium. Think about it... heat sources are different, amount of water in the pan and number of eggs all affect how long it takes to make the perfect egg. Pop this baby in the pan and -voila - perfect eggs every time! LOVE it!

"Eggspert" timer
This little timer takes all the guess work out of perfectly boiled eggs. I like eggs boiled to different levels of hardness for different dishes. Boiling them for specific times isn't really effective for me because different pots, numbers of eggs, etc. can affect the outcome. But this little "egg" really thinks it's an egg! It really does "cook" exactly like the eggs in the pot with it. if you immerse the cooked eggs in cold water when they reach the level of hardness it shows, that's what you get! Have used one for twenty years. Love it!

It Really Works
I had my doubts about this little gadget, but being that I was notoriously bad at one of the most simple kitchen tasks I decided to give it a go. Honestly, this thing works perfectly. I've used it tons of times now and I have never not found my eggs to be perfectly hard boiled. Just lay it in the pot & it does all the work & timekeeping for you. Definitely worth it!

Great gadget
This is not one of those gadgets that you'll use once and then bury in a drawer. I could never get my hard boiled eggs "just right" and this product does it for me. Takes out all of the guess work. It is absolutely worth the $5.

Buy Buy Buy !
I have had the hardest time getting my eggs to consistantly turn out the same. Lately the issue has been being able to peel them without the eggs looking like they went through war. I read about this little gadget in a magazine and figured what do I have to loose. I used them for the first time for my Easter eggs and then turn the dyed eggs into deviled eggs. This little gadget is my new cooking buddy for eggs. They were perfect ! The insides were cooked perfectly and they peeled with ease. I won't cook eggs again without it ! The one minor, very minor drawback is trying to read the color of the egg while the water is boiling. The boiling water moving around makes it hard to see it, so I just pulled it out with a spoon very quickly, read it and placed it back in. No big deal, worth it!

THe BEST
I have been waiting for this for years...it does indeed work...I boil a lot of eggs at once and never get them quite hardboiled...until now! Worked like a charm. I bought them for friends and family for Easter tuck-ins.

Amazing!
I was sceptical this would work but I gave it a shot. I put it in the pan with 5 eggs for egg salald. Once the timer said hard I shut them off. They came out perfect! I don't know how it works but its amazing and I"m ordering another!
