Horrible
Needing a oven thermometer as I suspected my oven temperature was not being reflected accurately.
I was seduced by the design of this product. Supposedly one can use it upright or hang it down.
Well, upright does not work on my oven racks. No way. And, as for hanging it down, impossible to read.
Used it once. Am returning it.

Great find!
I needed to replace my old oven thermometer and I found this one online. It is very accurate and easy to read. It adjusts easily on oven racks.

Grossly Inaccurate
My old oven Thermometer clip finally gave out so I purchased this oxo Thermometer. It did not get to the correct setting (under 300) until more than a half hour after my oven was pre-heated. It also did not want to show a temperature above 300.
Nice hooking clip, too bad the design was good but the functionality was not at all accurate.

It absolutely works
I suspected that I was having a problem with my oven reaching the correct temperature, so I bought this. Using this thermometer my oven took forever to reach the correct temperature and with high temperatures sometimes they never registered. Then, I took it along on a trip where we stayed in a nice condo and used it for a Thanksgiving dinner. The temperature was always correct, even when it preheated. As a result, the dinner was perfect. It identified there is a problem with my oven for sure.

Handy Tool
I was shocked to see such poor reviews...I think this IS easy to read and very accurate. In regards to taking 40-50 minutes to tell the temperature, that has nothing to do with the thermometer, it has to do with your oven. I have had this for about 1 year and it is still working properly. In fact, I've purchased it for some family and friends and they love it too. No longer am I guessing if the oven has reached the correct temperature (unless you have a digital oven that indicates when it reaches the correct temp). I could not live without this! It is truly a handy tool for the knowledgeable chef. Another great product from OXO!

CAN'T READ!!
Yes it is a nice feature that the thermometer has a clip and you can clip wherever you like, however...I have 20/20 vision and I can't see the darn thing with the oven light on. I have to use a flash light to shine through the oven glass so I can see where the dial is. Would not recommend.

Bad Thermometer
I got this because I love the design..however, it stopped working within a few weeks. I used it while making cheesecakes and the steam from the water bath clouded the dial and it stopped working. It is a shame because I really like how you can read the temperature with the oven door closed.

so-so
This thermometer works...but it takes about an 45-60 minutes for it to reach the temperature of the oven. For example, when my oven signals that it has reached the set temperature, the thermometer still reads below 200degF.
