Nice toaster
We really like this toaster. It takes awhile to get used to the settings and find out what number to put things on for the right amount of doneness, but overall we really like it. Looks sharp sitting on our countertop too.

Love this toaster!
I love this toaster. Makes perfect toast and I love the look/styling. Love the shiny chrome and slightly retro-look to the toaster. Not too expensive.

do not buy
purchased it in 2008, as i liked the retro styling. 1 problem: toast is uneven, 1 side dark other side light. 2nd problem: today, the metal lever that you push the toast down with broke off. surprisingly this metal lever I can see attaches to a plastic piece inside the toaster that is now broken. why would cuisinart use a piece made of PLASTIC inside of an appliance that you heat up? does anyone at C&B or the manufacturer look at these reviews???

Birthday gift for bachelor son and he loves it. Bachelor pad a must but, I think we are going to have to get one too.

Broke down after 2 years
I had this toaster for about two years and it has already broken down. Not worth the price.

Good buy
Although a little big/bulky, I am please so far with this purchase. I keep my bread in the freezer (b/c its warm where I live and bread goes bad rather quickly) and when I tried the defrost/toast mode, it was PERFECT!

Loved this toaster!
We just got this from our wedding registry and we love this toaster! It is very accurate and I would totally go for the 4 slice compared to the 2 slice.

Cuisinart's poor customer service
Bought this toaster a couple of years ago, This spring two of the slots would not lock. E-mailed Cuisnart's customer service-non excisting by the way. Took 6 weeks and three reminders to get a reply that did say nothing. I asked if I could see what other products I had registered with them such as three food processors, hand blender, ice cream maker, deep fryer but their website does not allow for customer to see what they have registered with Cuisinart and customer service does not know how to access it. Was then informed that a supervisor would call me and that is now 2 weeks ago, heard nothing despite three reminders I am still waiiting for their call. Meanwhile I purchased a Breville toaster from C&B and seems to be working fine. Never again a Cuisinart product with their non excisting customer service. Looks like that department has been farmed out to another company.

Perfectly Toasted Toast
This toaster is great. It made perfectly toasted toast in no time, and is as cute as it can be. It even has a warm up setting, so if your toast or bagel get cold before butter it, you can heat it back up without burning. And obviously it's great to be able to fix everyone's toast at once. Yay to four slots! Very happy with this purchase.

We have had this toaster for 4 years and it's great. You get to know how dark each # is and can tweak it for the bread or bagel that you're toasting. I'm happy with this registry item.

A Toaster for a Wedding might be Cliche...
Having used an old toaster for years, it was a huge upgrade when I received this toaster as a shower gift. It looks great on my counter, and it literally hasn't burned one thing since I got it. I love having the different settings for wheat, defrost and bagel...all things I put in my toaster and all things I am no longer putting through 4 times or risking scorching within 30 seconds of being in the toaster. My mom was so jealous of my new toaster she went out and bought one for herself.

Works
Looks good and works fine. Don't know if it's worth the price though. I mean, there ARE cheaper toasters out there. This one feels a little light and flimsy, but it works just fine. Probably would have liked it more if it'd been in the $40 range though.

Perfect Retro Toaster
I love this toaster's look for my kitchen. But of course more importantly it's easy to use and works brilliantly. The slots are wide enough to comfortably fit bagels and it's easy to clean. I waffled between the two slot and four slot and decided in the long run this would be best. It doesn't take up as much counter space as I was worried about and I've been toasting every day since I purchased it. No more using the broil function on the oven!

Best Toaster Ever
The stylish modern looking toaster is one of the best electric domestic appliance I've ever had. The temperature knob to regulate the amount toasted works very accurately. The spacious inserts are practical to toast even thickest slice of bread. It's easy to clean and the fingerprint resistant cover keeps it looking shinning and new. I'm so happy with my toaster.

perfect toaster
i love the way this toaster looks in my retro kitchen so much, when my friends got married i bought it for them too. always quick and even toasting, love that it has a bagel setting, and easy to clean. if you windex it, it looks even more fantastic.
