Sisal Almond 2x3 Rug is rated 4.3548 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I bought this rug for my dining room. I was worried about it being too rough under our feet, but it's not rough at all. It actually feels good to walk on. This rug is very durable, and cleans easily with a damp paper towel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect rug! I wanted a warm but neutral area rug that would look pretty and stand up to my dog. This is my second sisal Crate & Barrel rug (the first is a runner). This one is an 8 x 10 in my living room & I've been very happy with it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very durable! My family and I have this rug in our living room and because i have two boys, I wanted something durable. Thanks to the reviews on this rug I decided to purchase it and it was a great choice!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks Great! I bought this rug to put under my kitchen table and it looks great...having good contrast between my dark hardwoods and black table. I did not give the rug five stars for only one reason. The rug fibers tend to "break" from the rubbing of our chairs and from cleaning it on a high vacuum setting. The price was reasonable, so I am not too bothered by it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this rug! I bought this rug for my living room in 5x8. We have a 4x6 rug diagonally on top of it. It's a beautiful rug, much prettier than shown in the picture. In the picture, the rug looks kind of dark and plain but in person, it's bright, light and has an almost gold threading through it. It's really lovely and excellent for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ain't what she used to be . . . I've bought three of these over the past three years. The last one arrived recently after a delay as they were out of stock in the large size. That was all fine. Unfortunately the rug I got is such a sad, distant cousin to the other two you would hardly know they are related. This rug used to be very refined looking. The color was even and lovely. There were no knots or broken threads of sisal upon arrival. It was pleasant to walk on (not like a silk rug of course but totally fine and did not stab you and leave bits of sisal in your skin). The new batch they got in is dingy, dirty looking. The weave is very irregular in form and coloring. There are broken threads of stiff sisal sticking straight up all over it at inch or two intervals. There are knots in the weave all over it in the hundreds. There are rows of weave that are actually nearly white. It just looks like a cheap doormat. It's painful to take two steps on. To cap it off I spent two hundred bucks on their super cushy rug pad because the rubber edging on the rug is smaller than the rest of the rug so it's wavy all over and even the rug pad doesn't help it lie flat.Sigh.My rug was also "rolled" but had clearly been compressed so there are creases at one foot intervals all the way across. It was carried in over the delivery man's shoulder with both ends drooping way down so clearly there was nothing like a cardboard roll to maintain the stiffness.Once this material is creased it has cracks in the fibers. Not like folding a wool rug (which shouldn't be done either but . . .)Sigh.Maybe some of the sizes are still the older model.Buyer beware on this one. By the way I do love Crate and Barrel and have probably spent five figures with them over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for traffic areas I needed 2 9X2 runners for front entrance way and for kitchen exit to yard. These are perfect! They are so easy to vacuum and clean. Most of all they look great ! I have had them sor several months and ordered the smallest one for a door mat in back. These rugs are perfect in my cottage style home by the beach! good for the dogs too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Rug! I bought this rug for my family room which has dark grey furniture and wood floors. The rug brought it all together with it's wonderful texture and color. It is just the dimension I needed. Have loved the ease of care (just vacuum...although the dirt does not show!) and know it is tough enough to last a long time in this busy room. Great price for the value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly comfortable I assumed that a sisal rug would be a bit scratchy on your bare feet, or would scratch your socks, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far.Not only is the rug comfortable, but you can feel your feet being lightly exfoliated when you walk across it (which feels great after a long day).Additionally, the rug came with a rug pad (no need for a separate purchase), and I haven't had the slightest problem with the rug slipping on my hardwood floors. The material itself seems sturdy, and I haven't had any pieces break off, or otherwise become damaged.I highly recommend this purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Indoors This is the third sisal rug I've purchased from CB. I have 2 cats and it holds up well to their scratching and hair clean up is a snap. Yes, it's not a comfy rug for lounging on, but great in a multi-purpose room that we use for playing, exercise, and lots of other traffic.Clean up for this type of rug is a little different. You need to keep Host dry cleaner on hand. The key is to blot up as much of liquid you can with paper towels then cover the area heavily with Host and let sit for a day or so. Then vac up with the hose to get in deep and it's clean and fresh. If you get a stain, use a gentle brush and a tiny bit of dish soap with water to massage out -- the key is not not get the fiber too wet.The latex backing is great and you don't need a pad grip. However, do not use this rug on radiant heating floors; the latex will disintegrate after a few years. Our apartment is over the boiler room and our floors are hot all winter and this is what happened. BUT, I love these rugs so much I replaced them with the same. We gave them a beating over three years so it was worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable rug I purchased the almond 8x10 for my master bedroom as I have two large dogs that shed and track in dirt from outside. Its only been a few months but so far its held up really well. A quick vacuum and its good as new.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Clean While this rug is good for high traffic areas (it doesn't show wear) it doesn't clean well either. I am very disappointed to learn that while C&B recommends professional cleaning - the cleaning that is needed is dry powder cleaning (according to their customer service reps). This is a very ineffective way to clean rugs with stains caused by liquids. Maybe it's a way to deodorize, but even then you're not able to get out all the powder. I wouldn't purchase this rug if there is any chance it will need to be cleaned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rug; watch edge thickness Nicely made sisal rug; however, I purchased the small size as an entryway mat in front of my front door. The two short sides of this rug are 'folder under' in such a way that they are almost double-thickness. This presents a problem for my opening door and metal weatherstripping, so I've had to place the rug strangely off center to accommodate. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to use in front of a door with minimal clearance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great rug for beach house I purchased this rug in an 8x10 for our living room at our home near the shore. It is great on our new hardwoods and does a good job of minimizing the profusion of dog hair resulting from our beloved black lab's constant shedding! I like it because it is very durable and excellent with the inevitable sand that finds its way into our house. Dirt really doesn't show, and a quick vacuuming keeps it clean and fresh. We haven't had any major spills, although aforementioned black lab spit up a rawhide on it first thing, and I was able to dab it and clean it up with a little mild dish soap on a rag, the rug was no worse for wear.I've never had a sisal rug before, so the thinness of it took a little getting used to, it is quite "spare," there is no plushness at all. In addition, it is not the most comfortable with bare feet. While my children are college aged, I imagine small children would find it a little uncomfortable.Having said that, I am very happy with my purchase, it fits a "beach" style home very well, and looks good with the furniture I just purchased. And I was thrilled with delivery, within a day or two it was sitting on my front step.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Very neat and clean looking. This is the first time I found a Sisal rug without the color borders and I love it. I've had Sisal rugs before and the cloth borders always got dirty looking after a few months. Not so with this rug. I have one in my dining room for over a year, which is a high traffic area and it still looks new. Just got another one for my living room and love it. Makes the room look bigger. Both of mine are Almond 8x10.
