Born in Haarlem in 1628, Jacob van Ruisdael is one of the most famous landscape painters of 17th-century Holland. He created a dynamic body of work, comprising more than 700 paintings, during what's known as the Golden Age of Dutch painting. Our giclee reproduction of the original oil painting brilliantly captures the billowy clouds and dramatic spotlit illumination of the low-lying countryside. A hand-applied crackle finish gives the print the cache of a time-honored masterpiece, complemented by a wood frame finished in black and distressed antique gold.
