This all-purpose santoku knife slices, dices and chops meats or vegetables with ease. Crafted by hand with over 100 steps, the blade boasts 34 layers of stainless steel forged on each side of a razor-sharp core. The resulting rippled Damascus finish lends durability while keeping the knife lightweight and maneuverable, and hollow-ground indentations prevent food from sticking. The large blade handles whole squashes and generous cuts of meat, while the ergonomic ebony-hued handle provides a comfortable grip.
Each exquisite Shun knife is carefully crafted in a 100-step process inspired by ancient sword smiths. The amazing blades are created in Seki City, Japan's 700-year-old center for samurai swords.
