The Story

Paola Navone's palette of blues is inspired by her world experiences and life by the sea. From the deep blues found in Moroccan tiles and the Turkish eye to the aquamarine seas of the Greek Isles, a range of blues infuses the Como collection with coastal color and flair. Organic shapes in white porcelain dinnerware transform the table into a playful puzzle, spontaneous with splashed spots, freeform squiggles or bold strokes in rich tones of blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just love them After looking for many years for plates that had some design but not completely cover the plate, I found these. They are elegant yet casual.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from porcelain - beware I have carefully used my porcelain Como dishes & bowls for 6 months. I'm disappointed to report that 2 of the dinner plates have already chipped - back side raised rim. We're still using them. I thought we would use the salad plates at lunchtime for our sandwiches, but they're really too small to catch the bread crumbs, so we seldom use them. We love the deep "Splash" soup/cereal/ salad bowls. The Como design is wonderful, but the fuctionality should be improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Designer Dinner Plates I wish I had puchased these plates a month ago. I love the color and the design. Instead I purchased another set with blue blueberries (no longer available). These plates are more substantial to the feel and have a nice rim around the edge. I also love the fact that you can accessorize them with flatware and glassware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome plates!! I've had my eye on these for awhile but couldn't justify buying new plates. So glad I did. They are fun and unique and I love that you can mix and match them. The bowls are not perfectly round but I think that just adds to their charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Fun! Bought these about a month ago. They are so fun and a great conversation piece at the table. It's nice to have mismatched plates that look perfect when put all together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design I missed these with my regular white dinnerware along with some white and blue traditional design pieces - beautiful design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Como Swirl Plate In the past I have always had white dishes. I was guarded about buying anything with a pattern, but these dishes are beautiful, interesting and well made. Plating even general dinners, make our family's dinners even more special. Have received many compliments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lively and Informal I bought plates, linens bowls, cutlery, the works ... it is just beautiful.  The colors, shapes and pieces go together in myriad ways ... the coffee cups can be soup bowls, the soup bowls are great for pasta, the demi-tasse double for codiments.  I refinished the table cloth with red satouche so that it could tie around the umbrella for dining al fresco.  The woman who couldn't stack the pieces because they are asymmetrical must not have tried stacking them -- very sturdy, very stackable.  Love these pieces.  The spoon is especially perfect with soup and the fork is like a trident spearing food easily but slowly (three prongs do not a shovel make).  Amazing design, amazing find!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful, lovely, unusual bowls We bought the bowls a number a number of days ago. And they are fantastic. Love the shape, and the graphic elements of the blue on white. I have eaten almost every meal from one of the bowls - yogurt with fruit, eggs with kale, trout with brussel sprouts. We cut fabric circles to put between the bowls - they sit together fine, but we wanted to give them a bit more protection.
