The Story

A hint of natural terra cotta adds a warm edge to beautiful grey and white glazed design. Casual flourishes are applied in wax to a glazed white surface that is then loosely brushed with translucent grey. When fired, the wax melts revealing the underlying white in gorgeous contrast. Due to the reactive glazes used, pieces may vary slightly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful dinnerware I just bought this dinnerware and love it! You can use everyday or dress it up for thanksgiving or Christmas. I also love the copper color on bottom of plate. The large bowl is also a great piece for serving fruit, salad or potatoes!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful artwork I entertain a few times a year and I wanted to upgrade our dinnerware to something a little more interesting. These plates caught my eye online, and once I saw them in the store display, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. The plates are finished in a beautiful glaze -- the glaze isn't very visible online, but it is the first thing you notice once you view them in person. I was concerned about their size due to another review, but I'm able to store mine in both my standard size kitchen cabinets, as well as the hutch where I ultimately store them with a good amount of room. The store I visited had these plates paired with the Nico bowls, which are a complimentary contrast as the texture and colors are the same, yet the pattern is different. I'm very happy with these pieces!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! I absolutely love this set. The design is artistic and organic and the dishes are substantial which I love. Even my husband is a fan! We have been using them for a few weeks now - using them, running them through the dishwasher, putting them in the microwave and all's well. I hope Crate and Barrel carries these for a while!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant Purchased 2 dinner plates and 2 bowls. Used them just the other day and it just made our meal so much more enjoyable. Will be using these often. Reminds us of being in Italy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great style I purchased these plates a few weeks ago, and am delighted with the quality. They are the right size if you like big dinner plates, and the coloring on each one is slightly different giving them a hand-painted feel. They add great pattern to the set table. I would recommend these to anyone looking for something that feels original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these plates! I love these plates because not one is identical and the colors used are neutral to compliment anything. They don't have a salad bowl just a salad plate, so I purchased the Nico bowls to match these and they too are beautiful!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty plates I love these dishes. I bought them a little over a month ago and they are ao very pretty. I was so excited when they came that I Immediately washed them and tried to put them away in my cabinet only to find that the dinner plates are too big to fit in a standard sized cabinet. That seems silly to me to make a plate that is too big to fit in a kitchen cabinet which is where most plates live. It is frustrating and we often don't use our dinner plates because we have had to hide them away. I love them I just wish that someone, somewhere would have said you need to have extra large cabinets for these dishes.
