The Story

The rustic character and bold grain of deep espresso mango wood take a refined turn with graceful cabriole legs and rounded edges at the top. Casual-to-formal table is constructed of solid mango wood, an eco-friendly choice whose timbers are harvested only after the tree's short fruit-bearing life. A floating construction allows the wood to expand naturally to prevent cracks, splits and warping. Open grain and knots are unique to each piece. Addition of the extension leaf increases seating capacity from six to eight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish Table I ordered this table online, but I saw it in the store first. I love the dark espresso color and the clean lines. The table sits 6 comfortably with the leaf. I can probably sit 8 fairly easily. I wish there was a second leaf to make the table even longer, but this is a nice size.Great quality for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful table but not for dry/cool climates We purchased this table a few weeks ago - the wood and grain are absolutely beautiful. However, within a week we started noticing that a seam in the table top was splitting at the edges... it's 2 weeks later and we have several splits in seams all around the table. After speaking with customer service, I learned that apparently this is inherent to the type of wood and design, and that this table will seasonally split in dry and/or cool climates (we live in Colorado). I wish we would've known that from the start, as it makes the table look very worn/cheap. I'll be returning this in hopes of getting something more suited to where we live.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Table! We bought this table, 6 chairs, and the matching buffet. It is gorgeous! Looks very formal in my dining room. Fits the traditional style of my home perfectly! Everything came perfect, no scratches or anything. I also love how the buffet can be used as a shelf, or turned over to store wine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, Pretty Table This is a very sturdy table, that is both pretty and functional. The top is great with it's variations. The size is perfect for my 12x10 dining room. It is a formal look, without a huge formal size and dollar tag. I feel this can be dressed up or down for more casual settings. It is a perfect transitional style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but tight for 8 My husband and I really like our new dining room table. It has a beautiful wood finish and fits our modern yet traditional older home perfectly. It will be perfect for hosting dinner parties of 6 or less. With 8 people the ends will be a little tight with rectangular placemats overlapping. But since those parties are rare and the table fits are space so well, it's a keeper for us. We'll just try square or circular placemats instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cabria We purchased this table and 6 chairs in December of 2010. We absolutely hate it and wish we had purchased something different. It has not held up well at all. It was a lot of money to look so terrible only being 1.5 years old. The wood looks dinged and streaky. We have tried things to help it with no success. I would love someone from Crate and Barrel to contact us to see if there is anything we can do. It makes us sick to think how much this cost and how awful it looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! After looking for the perfect table, we finally found it! The wood grain and color is gorgeous and true to picture. We were looking for something versatile, and this table can be dressed up for small dinner parties and is still a great family table. With the extension it sits 6 spaciously and 8 comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Table Love, love, love it! This table exceeded our expectations. We purchased it online, so we were hoping it looked like the photos on the website. When the table arrived, it had a large crack in it. I called customer service and they sent out a new table and picked up the damaged one. No questions! The table is beautiful and is a great value. Looks far more expense than it is and everyone who sees it, loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Table! I love this table. It is very sturdy. I have a narrow dining area so the width is great. I purchased the matching chairs and have the dahlia placemats. The table would work well in a traditional it contemporary setting. My home is sort of in between and works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful table I love this table. The form is beautiful and classic. I think that this table will never look outdated and goes well with our home built in the 1900's. I would definately recommend this table to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Satisfied We purchased this table and matching chairs last year. Not only are we pleased at the look and durability of these items, but we constantly receive compliments from friends and family about them. I can't wait to get the table cloth off after dinner so I can see the beautiful table again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a real dining room table I waited a very long time to purchase a dining room table and when I spotted the Cabria at the store I decided I found that one that would fit our needs. The table is extremely well made and the wood and finish is perfect. I like the idea of the mango wood. Not wanting to invest a lot for a table the price was excellent as was the product. No one can wrong with this purchase and the service received from Crate and Barrel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply beautiful The table is just gorgeous, and with the leaf is plenty big for 8. I have it in my dining room, with the matching cane chairs. I also have the previous round version (oval with leaf) of the table, in my kitchen, and I liked it so much that I bought this larger one for the dining room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic yet Modern We've had the Cabria Dark Extension Table for about 6 months now and have been very pleased with it. We also purchased the coordinating buffet/hutch and the pieces look beautiful together. We went with a dark brown Parsons chair rather than the matching ones, and find these to be very comfortable. This dining set suits my classic aesthetic but also works well when I use more modern table settings/linens.It does seem to scratch easily, however - we are careful to always use placemats or a tablecloth and are thoughtful about what we set directly on the table.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful! Beautiful table! Unfortunately, it developed a crack on the top, but Crate and Barrel customer service is great and they are replacing it. It is just gorgeous, and the perfect size for my smallish dining room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, timeless piece of furniture I absolutely love this table - gorgeous color & craftsmanship. Unfortunately there was a tiny crack in the table, but I believe that was from shipping not the craftsmanship. It is barely noticeable, and I know this table will last us a very long time. The leaf makes a huge difference too - we can fit 8 people at our table!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect.... I purchased this table and 6 chairs for my second home breakfast nook area. I hesitated at first to get the darker color as the store only had the lighter on display, but I am glad I did. It is a lovely table, well made except the the leaf had a "hairline" crack across it. BUT, they sent a replacement table within a few days after I called. It looks great with the chairs. I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's perfect! Having seen the table initially in the Crate and Barrel catalog, I was hoping it would be as nice as the pictures. When I was then able to see the table in the lighter wood stain in a local store, I knew it was the one I wanted, but in espresso, the darker stain.Ordering online was easy, the delivery process and team were excellent! The table is in pristine condition, and it was easy to assemble.I love the table, love that it is eco-friendly, and love receiving compliments on it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Product I was seriously disappointed in the quality of this product and would not recommend it to anyone. The extension does not quite align properly and the edges are rough and tend to snag clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great transitional dining table Have had this table for 18 months, and couldn't be happier. It's a good transitional look--fits well in my craftsman-y home with some antique/traditional pieces.Very easy to expand/contract--and the extra leaves store nicely inside the table itself.Very heavy/sturdy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eco-Friendly Extension Table We were looking for a table that was eco-friendly and could fit in a small dining room. We also wanted a table that had the option of extension to accomodate a dinner party. This table is perfect for that. Beautiful wood, great size, and you can feel good about the eco-friendly purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this table!!!! My husband and I purchased this table with the money we got from our wedding. We recently bought a home and needed a dining room table. I did lots of searching before I found this one. We absolutely love this table. It is gorgeous. We have been very careful with it because I read the reviews on how easily it gets scratched. We cover with a table cloth when its not being used. The set up was super easy! We just had a little hiccup with the delivery because it was supposed to all arrive together but they didn't have the chairs in yet when the table got delivered. Crate and Barrel was very accommodating and didn't charge a second shipping fee.Anyway, we purchased all 8 chairs just in case it went out of style and we also purchased the buffet! Love the whole set=)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but not for Everyday use.. I thought I had found the perfect table that we could use every day (just 2 of us), and would look great for company...It's absolutely gorgeous and I liked the ide of mango wood as a sustainable product. The description talks about casual to formal... This table is NOT a good idea for every day use unless you plan to cover it (destroying the need for a beautiful table). My 9 year old did her homework on the table the other day, and when she got up found that much of her essay is now etched into the top of the table from the pressure of her erasable pen on the paper. I am so upset and definitely expected that the table would stand up to homework and normal table types of activities given the description. If only there had been a warning! Not recommending it because it isn't durable to normal family use, but it is indeed gorgeous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Eco-Friendly choice My husband and I purchased the whole set with the money from our wedding - we were looking for something that would last for ages but was eco-friendly. Set up was easy and packaging was mostly cardboard with very little styrofoam or plastic. The size was a plus for our space - the table is narrower than most. The color is gorgeous and adds a beautiful warmth to our home.We have two large dogs and I noticed a few marks on our chairs' seats from their nails, therefore I would note the mango wood is softer than some woods - but the dark color is still in place where the marks are, so hardly noticeable.Overall we are delighted by our purchase!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scratches Easily Based on all the reviews, I thought I had finally found a beautiful, durable table at a fantastic price. I was pleased with the look of the table (it looked just like it does online); however, much like the people who commented on the "Basque" table, I have found that the Cabria table got scratches extremely easily. I have only eaten at the table a handful of times, but there are several scratches already. I do not want to cover the table with a tablecloth and buying a custom glass top is so expensive...so at this point, I don't know what to do.
